It’s bad enough them showing Taylor Swift every time Kelse makes a play, but now they’ll probably be showing Trump during the game. I guess I’ll pass.

I believe Frazz is based in Michigan which would make more sense of “that big football game” reference , since the Lions have never been to it!

Naming something has nothing at all to do with copyrights. And exactly which grocery stores have signs on the outside about avocados? I’ve never seen that, and they sell a lot of avocados around here.

A little change of pace today! Instead of bashing football coaches (remember Coach Hacker?) and the sports’ fans, Mallett is going after the NFL’s legion of corporate lawyers. Granted, there are worse targets.

I just switched to my slightly modified version of Peanut Sauce. Southeast Asia is horrified by my sacrilege.

It’s not a copyright. It’s a trademark, or would be. Short phrases like that are not protected by copyright, but can be protected as trademarks when so used.

Here’s a fun way to stump the sports fans in your life: Ask them who played in Super Bowl I.

They will of course, answer "Green Bay and (either KC or Oakland; I disremember which lost that game and which lost the next one).

And you inform them they are mistaken; nobody played in Super Bowl I. The first one was The AFL-NFL World Championship Game. The “Super Bowl” sobriquet was conceived for the 2nd one (a marketing guy was inspired by his son’s Super Ball®, and applied to TANWCG after the fact.

I think it would be fun to have a Guacamole Bowl! (I only ever watched the S.B. for the commercials, and I haven’t done that for a long time.)

So the people shopping at the produce aisle will be wondering why I’m smiling as I choose an avocado for my guacamole.

This weekend will be the best. Trump will be too busy with the Super Bowl to screw up the country more.
