Cute. But I don’t think anything I would consider a “great novel” was written in a coffee shop. Hmm, then again, coffee shops go way back…

JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis discussed their literary works at great lengths in the Eagle and Child pub. They belonged to a literary group called the inklings. It’s possible Tommi needs more challenging conversation..

Back to t he old reliable low-tech instrument.

I once wrote a short story in a Starbucks shop.

    “This coffee stinks. The end”.

Coffee shops… for “high energy” novels I suspect.Bars… for moody, despondent novels (aka Hemingway) I suspect. Not sure what the best locale would be for writing a dystopian novel…. I shudder to think.

Now to persuade Mom to drive them to a coffee shop! Or will she have Teddy set up a shop on the other side of the nursery?
