Satchel is exaggerating. Whether a cat will run away from a dog, big or small, depends on the cat and its mood at the time. My mother told me she once saw a fairly large dog charge up to a cat barking. The cat swatted the dog on the nose with its claws and the dog ran off howling.

Satchel doesn’t get mad very often. Much as I like Bucky’s nonsense, it’s good to see Satchel win once in a while!

Satchel’s exasperation in panel 6 made me laugh out loud. Then seeing Bucky’s contorted face in the last panel made me laugh even harder!

Satchel has been ON IT lately. He isn’t putting up with Bucky’s rants.

It does seem rather odd that back in the Golden Age of superheros in the 60s, when they were cranking them out by the truckload, I can’t recall any super-cats. We had Underdog, and in the 70s there was Dynomutt (some similarities with Satchel, come to think of it…). There was even Super Chicken. Why no Super Cat? Obviously a nefarious conspiracy…
