If he wears a hooded sweatshirt or jacket, he can still wear his baseball cap. His neck will be warmer, too.

Put a Do Rag Skull Cap under my hat when it’s that cold ;-)

My daughter crocheted me an alpaca fur cap… man, that thing is WARM! Great for these Minnesota winters!

That bears ears are still exposed. For real cold you need a neck warmer stretched over the ball cap. This is good to about -8 C, below that your forehead gets cold. Then a thin balaclava will fit under the ball cap.

I guess that’s one way to do it.

My son does that at 34.

Since the ever present cap is to cover a balding pate, the stocking cap on soft bare skin would itch. Plus, you need the brim to display your status sunglasses.

It’s 16F in Denver, and I wonder what “cold weather” means to someone in Buffalo Gap.

Close! I wear a bandana under my helmet.. the rest of me is buried in Carhartt. Don’t mind the cold, just the inability to move well.

Nah… that’s what hoodies are for. The knit cap rubs the hearing aids which generates too much noise in my ears.

I think the Kromer bill is too short. And let’s face it, Kromer hats look dorky. Why don’t other manufacturers address the “warm with a bill” problem??

Gotta have the bill to shade your eyes.

For me it is a fedora over a skull cap. If too cold, then a baclava instead of skull cap. Fedoras bring back gentleman traditions like tipping the hat with a “Good morning” to the lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen.

Haven’t done that myself, but it does fit Pluggers.
