Nellis AFB must be doing night maneuvers. A whole squadron just flew over, totally blacked out, no lights, and the Stealth Bomber (I think) just flew over. Of course people across the fairway from me are out looking.

Today is:

Word searches and crossword puzzles have the obvious benefit of increasing vocabulary and language skills. Sudoku, a puzzle sequencing a set of numbers on a grid, exercises the brain as well. By testing memory and logical thinking, this puzzle stimulates the brain and can improve number skills.Puzzles also offer social benefits. When we work on these brain teasers with someone, we improve our social interactions. Whether we join a group or play with our children, those interactions keep us socially active and teach our children social skills, too. Even working them quietly together provides an opportunity to focus the mind in a meditative way that isn’t forced.The bottom line is, puzzles stimulate the brain, keeping it active, and practicing its skills.

And that is my theory as to why the words were written backward on today’s strip. It’s a puzzle, to help us all keep our brains sharp. Maybe that’s not the real reason, but it works for me!

It’s funny no matter how you look at it.

Here’s my guess. The comic was drawn with the building to the right. The artist looked at it and decided it might look better with the building to the left. A mirror flip was done and then a just-to-be-safe file save of the image. Then, the text was put the right way around. That intermediate step was accidentally the one uploaded.

Well regardless it’s good to see Chesney was able to smooth the situation over. Im sure the woman is more than satisfied all is well and we can all move on from this
