Trying to predict the future is hard business.

Sorry, kids—looks like there’ll be no “snow day” from school now.

Whether maps are just computer best guesses. Back in the good old B&W TV days, the announcer would draw where he wanted the weather to go on the map with a big grease pencil.

If you want an accurate weather report you need to watch Al Sleet.

BTW does anyone know how Kay’s pasa is doing?

Kids, over here in the NCR of Canada, are enjoying a snow day, 30~40cm expected. Put your snowpants on and have fun.

It’s definitely a percentages game.

This exact thing happened where I live.

TUESDAY: “Winter storm advisory! 15-30 cm of snow overnight Wed-Thurs!”WEDNESDAY MORNING: “Winter storm warning! 15-30 cm of snow starting late Wednesday afternoon!”WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON: Snow starts to fall.WEDNESDAY EVENING: “Temporary” break in snowfall.THURSDAY MORNING: Some snow present, but not a lot.

“Snow, heavy at times, starting in 5 min.” maybe I’ll update this in a bit.

Our county has announced a snow day.

Some of our local weather people are really lame……

Seems odd to be looking out over green, leafy bushes expecting a blizzard.

It’s not that, they have to go with whatever they hit on the dartboard.

Weather people all live in a cave in the basement and never see outside.

Over my many years, I’ve noticed the weather-guessers have become increasing wrong with anything more than a day or so out. They might want to consider using their “computer models” less and looking out the window more.

“This just in: EVERYONE PANIC! FROZEN WATER CRYSTALS ARE LITERALLY FALLING FROM THE SKY!”

No, not evil, just perpetually wrong.
