Is the egg shortage thing only impacting the US (because of our horrible methods of mass animal manufacturing) or is this a global phenomenon (doot doo da-doo dot)

Saw a TikTok from a chicken farmer, who suggested letting the flock develop immunity, instead of immediately killing them all, which makes sure none with natural resistance survive, either. I know the virus mutates, but developing immunity sounded good, as he explained it.
