Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
There’s a YouTuber building a custom ‘74 Toyota Celica with a modern Toyota truck V8 stuffed in it. She’s doing most of the work on her own. She has a check-off list on a white board in her shop, and she’s really happy because, after 2 years of effort, there’s only, like, 40 more things to accomplish before it’s done.
Baldo works at a auto-parts store where he most likely gets a discount… His father bought him four new tires last year. This car should have been running and only in need of some body work a long time ago.
Come on, Baldo! A gas pedal is an easy fix. You don’t even have to fix something else first. You just use your auto supply store discount, pop it in and “LISTO!” problem solved, problem staying solved, Rangers lead the way!
I know how you feel, Baldo. I started a restomod on my Trans Am back in 2016. I completely swapped the whole driveline from engine to the wheels. I got it drivable again and put on enough miles to break in the engine, transmission, rear axle, and clutch (2 clutches, actually, since I didn’t like the first one) so a little over 1,000 miles. But it still is pretty sketchy to drive in that it stalls a lot because it needs a proper computer tune at a shop.
I kind of stopped working on it around the pandemic and have only been poking at a few things since, so it just sits parked in my driveway waiting for the upholstery shop to finish the interior and waiting for me to take it to get tuned. It was supposed to be a 1 year project.

What’s Baldo’s hurry? It’s not like he’s getting any older

It’s better to steer oneself in the correct direction before hitting the gas

Yesterday, I was thinking that Baldo was struggling over homework. Today, we see what his problem really is.

Just wait until you can “buy” a car — and then take forever paying for it!
