No, it was the butt naked relatives of the Bonobos, aka humans.

I guess he wouldn’t prefer the other name, the one based on his scream.

The word “bald” refers to an old English use of the word meaning “white” since the head is distinctly feathered.

They just call him a bald eagle because his round head makes him look that way.

Maybe the guvment can rename it to the American eagle. Seems to be the thing to do to do to waste money.

I would take that as a compliment if we were more closely related to the peace-loving Bonobos but sadly, we have much more in common with the Pan Troglodyte Chimpanzees who rape, murder, steal, and wage war like us.

Immature Bald Eagles are brown on top, they don’t get the white topper until they are older (kinda like us). You can tell an immature Bald Eagle from a Golden Eagle by the fact that Bald Eagles have no feathers on their lower legs. Bald Eagles primary diet is fish, so their lower legs are bare. Golden Eagles primary diet is land animals so they have feathers all the way down.
