Hobbes is the gentleman Calvin can never expect to be, LOL. BTW, notice Mom’s indifference to her son’s yelling at his toy in front of a guest.

She’s used to his obnoxious behavior.

He’s called ‘Hobbes, the Cool’ and is well known for his style.

He’s right about the spots and stripes.

I’m just trying to imagine, if Hobbes is just an imaginary friend, then who put the tie on him, and when?

Did Calvin do it? Then he must have known Suzie was coming to his house!

Did his mother do it? Then…aaaah! AAAAAH! My mind hurts so much!!!

I love the strips that feature both Hobbes. Always the best.

When I saw Hobbes in his tie, it made me think of this clip:

I guess Calvin wants to adjust the tie and make Hobbes look like the Orange Monster?

I’m assuming Calvin put the tie on Hobbes before school then parks him by the door. His mom rolls her eyes when she sees Hobbes wearing a tie, and wishes Susie was her daughter.

I don’t think Calvin was ever more ticked at Hobbes then here. Try not to think too hard about it though. It’s still just a comic strip.

Calvin, consider the downsides of Hobbes killing Susie. You and your mom would have to explain it to Susie’s mom. Then there’s the coroner, the cops, the lawsuit…..it’s just more trouble than it’s worth.
