Is he cutting the right brain? When I went in for thumb surgery, my surgeon marked the wrong thumb. The surgical nurse had to go find him and get him to come back and correct it.

Got to start somewhere.

Not so funny, in light of the recent news story of a doctor removing a man’s liver instead of his spleen. (The autopsy labeled it as a “murder”, while the other hospital personnel tried to pass it off as an “accident”.)

[classy nerd alert] Colson Whitehead’s book “The Intuitionist” is about an elevator inspector who uses her intuition to decide if things are safe. Very wild and crazy book.

I just know that things will go right this time. The last ten times were just an extended fluke.

I like how those surgical masks cover only the nose. Reminds me of those skimpy bikini tops that barely cover the nipples.
