    Good morningā„¢, all!

Well, itā€™s food, but not particularly impressive. Who is the sergeant?

    Good morningā„¢, Missing NCOs !

Donā€™t look now but I think the sarge has gone AWOL, permanently ! Ā Poor guy. Great first panel scene and the little bit looking up angle.

~ Well he was well dressed and nicely laid out. He wore rags in life but gets a fine ā€˜dignifiedā€™ send off.

Those gentlemen serving food on the food line should be wearing gloves. I worked for many years as a community outreach coordinator at the Bowery Mission, and weā€™d get in a ton of trouble if we didnā€™t have gloves and a hair net on.

A tramp, as I said before. A sad way for a veteran to end. Iā€™m guessing he had bigger feet than our anti-hero, hence the bare feet. No cause of death yet. I hope it was natural. Although I doubt it.

Maybe a Sergeant sort of like the Salvation Army?

Anyone else ever volunteered to serve meals at one of these? Iā€™ve helped at couple and none of us ever had those stiff white jackets. To me this is about as realistic as showing a server with two heads, but maybe Iā€™ve only volunteered at low end places where no reservations were needed for a meal. Or maybe the artist wasnā€™t sure what would make visual sense to the readers (if so, it didnā€™t work for me).

Is it just me, has anyone else noticed recently that the voice balloons havenā€™t been drawn coming from correct characters speaking or that theyā€™re drawn clearly enough to who is speaking?

The second and third panels for example, I think itā€™s meant a question being asked in P2 by one person and answered in P3 by another person.

Remember not to get hooked on who Sergeant could be, we already got bamboozled at the beginning of the story.

    TELEVISION QUOTEā€”

ā€œThis is Hans Conreid for FRACTURED FLICKERS> Iā€™ll be back next week. And the week after that, and the week after thatā€

    ā€œI canā€™t break the filthy habitā€

Okay,ā€œSargeantā€ may just be a ā€œstreet nameā€ for a local homeless person, rather than actual military.

Weā€™re going back to when Steve The Tramp was re-introducedby COllins and he got mixed up in a racket where homeless people were being kidnapped and murdered to harvest their organs.

1- : Lovely piano music played by former Late Show band leader, Jon Batiste, entertains the ticket holders who purchased pricey Dinner And A Show tickets.

2- NONDESCRIPT SERVER #1: I wonder if Travis is with her tonight?

3- NONDESCRIPT SERVER #2: Ugh. Poor basterdā€™s probably heard Fortnight a million times by now so I doubt it. Youā€™d think these Swifties would demand better food for $5,000 a seat tickets.

NONDESCRIPT SERVER #1: Nah. These guys are the contingent of Swifty Fans who follow her tour just to perv on her and who hope for a costume malfunction during the show. Odd thing ā€“ most of them are stone deaf!

NONDESCRIPT SERVER #2: That makes senseā€¦

And, somehow, Iā€™m having a little trouble with the, ā€œOh dear ā€¦ā€ It just doesnā€™t feel right to me in the setting. Maybe a, ā€œHey, has anyone seen the Sergeant lately?ā€ would sound more natural to me. The only people I hear use ā€œOh dearā€ are little old ladies and people being sarcastic.
