I think Iâve had quite enough of peoples ârevisionist historyâ. And nothing going on is relatable, unless youâve lived in a totalitarian state.
As a pre-teen, I enjoyed reading books from the âWe Were Thereâ series, available in our small-town âCarnegie Libraryâ.
From the Internet:
âThe We Were There books are a series of historical novels written for children. The series consists of 36 titles, first released between 1955 and 1963 by Grosset & Dunlap. Each book in the series is a fictional retelling of an historical event, featuring one or more children as primary characters.â
I doubt if Danaeâs books would be accepted into the series â unless the series veered into science/fantasy alternative history themes.
Um .. âPOVâ (or Point of View) is mainly used in pornographic âvideo clipsâ (for want of a better word). Or, so I am told .. wouldnât know, myself.
At the historic cemetery where I serve as a guide the first and most important rule is; âThou Shalt Not Make Anything Upâ. We donât. We donât have to. The truth is almost always stranger than fiction.
I found history was much more interesting when I got away from rulers and their dates, and started looking at developments in religion, science, and the technology that most affected ordinary peopleâs everyday lives. I recommend The Timetables of History (The New Third Revised Edition), by Bernard Grun, based upon Werner Steinâs Kulturfahrplan, A Touchstone Book, Published by Simon & Schuster

Funny this, trump has ordered any use of GAY to be deleted from DOD history included Enola Gay and any reference to it!

We are living through an era that history books will be written about. Are you having historic fun yet?

All history is POV. The best is as objective as possible.
