Their is no direct correlation between Size and Efficiency. Something can be inefficient, but that is not necessarily because of it being large.

Just cutting without carefully examining what you are doing is extremely wasteful aka inefficient.

Oh, Stantis makes the other side cartoon.

    .

What other way has worked? Seriously, Stantis?

Clinton left a surplus, which Bush torpedoed with tax cuts for the rich, followed by the invasion of Iraq, which he kept off the books. Obama reduced the deficit, which Trump exploded.

Maybe Stantis can name ONE TIME that Republicans were in power and reduced spending. Hasn’t happened since Eisenhower. Was that when America was Great Again? Income tax rates were progressive and sales tax rates were low. Tax revenue was about 50/50 between businesses and individuals. (now it’s about 2/1, individuals being the 2)

Now, they want someone not elected to do it for them, since they cannot. Trump cannot because it’s “too cumbersome”, not that he gives a sh!t anyway.

Stantis cannot be that stupid — he’s just LYING, like all magats.

What a lie! There’s a cost to cutting costs by firing the workforce. The jobs that are cut have to be done by somebody and with a smaller workforce the jobs take longer to get done which is a measure of not efficient. Not to mention higher unemployment rates mean less money in the economy. which in turn leads to further increases in unemployment. Of course Musk and Von Shitzinpants could not care less about people put out of work.

Reading all this stuff from you guys just breaks me up.

First, you re-elect a known grifter and outright crook, a felon and insurrectionist for president …

But to ensure he could have free reign, you gave him a NO opposition House and Senate.. Mitch had already fixed the Supremes for him previously. . .

Only in America! you say . . .

The effectiveness of Musk’s “technique”, blindly cutting everything to the bone, was demonstrated yesterday when a relatively simple attack brought down Twitter.

Trump’s tanking of the economy, previously the envy of the world, makes you either laugh or cry. Perfect frame of mind for dark humor but i haven’t the energy to do an excerpt. The Times’ recap of late night is always worth skimming.

In reality, the size of the Federal workforce is a little LOWER than it was in 1984, even though the population has increased by 100 million people.

Conservatives always SAY that the Government is bloated, but they never actually examine the budget and show you WHERE. It’s their myth and they use it to do what they REALLY want to do: hand public money to people who can’t even spend the money they already have. Because those people have bribed them.

“For the last 35 years, over six presidencies, the U.S. economy has followed a cycle: A Republican president presides over a recession, a Democratic president gets elected and cleans up the mess; then, a Republican gets elected and screws everything up all over again. It was a good bet the cycle would continue with the second Trump presidency; the only surprise is that it’s happening so quickly.”

Well the House passed their CR and immediately went on vacation, putting pressure on the Senate Dems. So far Senate Dems have managed to do absolutely nothing to stop or slow down musk, I don’t see them doing anything today either.

Meanwhile, trump caves on Ukraine[again] for the moment and after Canada pushed back hard, trump delays tariffs for another month. And the US stock market continues its freefall as everyone in the Krasnov(trump) administration continues to lie about dam near everything. With little to no pushback from Corporate MSM. I wonder what most people thought about the trump/musk Tesla infomercial. Will MAGAts go out and start buying them after their cult leader praised them, OR will the Tesla boycott continue to grow. Meanwhile the trump Kakistocracy continues to tear down everything that multiple administrations from both political parties have built over generations

Meanwhile Anti-Clean air and Anti Green Enegry protests, including property damage and fires. Being committed by lovely, all inclusivive citizens not wearing Red Hats. That must be OK though.

Cutting inefficiency IS a good move. But Musk’s way is nothing less than a blitzkrieg with the same destructive-level results. It hurts more than it helps and people are suffering from it.

The number of Federal workers has stayed about the same since 1950. The population of the USA has more than doubled. The concentration of wealth in the top 0.01 percent of the population has increased greatly, especially since the 1980s. The 0.01 percent appears to be insatiable in their need for wealth (power).

I seem to recall a dedicated effort under Clinton to reduce waste, cut gov’t spending and shrink the size of the Federal workforce. To pretend that the Musk way of cutting is sheer ignorance.

If you take the time and energy to identity true fraud and waste you use a scalpel not a chainsaw. For example, Felon 47 has golfed almost every day since he started his second term at a tune of over $18M golfing at his properties. Cutoff his golfing is a good start. Let him pay for his own secret service instead of billing them when they stay at his properties. Musk needs to stop using taxpayer dollars to pay the 20 something DOGE kids when they said they won’t get paid. Let’s start there shall we ?
