Voters, who once famously blamed the president for shark attacks, are notoriously fickle. One would wish for a politics-oriented, journalism-adjacent comic to be more factual. Carter’s tern was more successful than Reagan’s first. Voters rewarded Reagan for Carter’s appointment of Volcker.

Thing is Trump picked up those gloves and CHOSE to wear them; Carter had economic circumstances forced on him.

‘The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans’

“The information contained in them, if they had been read by an adversary of the United States, could conceivably have been used to harm American military and intelligence personnel. What I will say, in order to illustrate the shocking recklessness of this Signal conversation, is that the Hegseth post contained operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the U.S. would be deploying, and attack sequencing.”

Jeffery Goldberg says several times that he will not quote certain information in the interests of safety of active agents and real-time intelligence info. From clips of the convo he did include, it appears that top-level idiots in the resident’s cabinet fracked up major. Someone included the editor in chief of The Atlantic in an insecure online messaging discussion of the attack. And nobody noticed or questioned who “JG” was while they debated a military action.

How horrific is it that the editor in chief of The Atlantic is more aware of the need for cybersecurity and intelligence security than, well, everyone in the current mal-administration?

Frankly, I think they would also have neglected to notice if the initials of the unknown party in their work group had been “VP”.

They’ve gutted agencies, personnel and legal structures protecting us from foreign interference. All foreign intelligence knows its open season on USA.

This administration is putting foreign spies out of business, they could just pay off laid off workers in intelligence. What are they going to do, report it? No one in this government would listen anyway. This is what happens when you vote in imbeciles.

DJT said he got ‘activated’ yesterday. Is that as a Russian sleeper agent or he took some Viagra to keep f-cking the people of this country?

Jimmy Carter inherited it from Ford and Nixon. Remember Ford’s “WIN” (“Whip Inflation Now”) buttons?

And Jimmy Carter sold his farm so he wouldn’t have even the APPEARANCE of a conflict of interest. The Skunk is OPENLY using the office to stuff his pockets.

It’s interesting that both Mike Lucovitch and Scott Stantis see the same thing (recession and inflation) but in Scott’s view Trump is wielding them while in Mike’s he’s being lead by them.

The memes on the Hegseth mess are flying and they’re glorious:

    - Any time I make a mistake from now on, my self-forgiveness mantra will be “hey at least I didn’t text war plans in emojis to a journalist”

    - Feeling real secure with all the Whiskeyleaks coming from the DUI hires at the Pentagon

    - So, hey. How’s it working out, that whole thing where we put national security in the hands of a drunk?

    - Txt STOP to opt out of updates on Top Secret US war plans.

    - On the bright side at least Canada and Greenland will know ahead of time when we are going to invade them. Dui hire

    - Hey Pam Bondi, maybe lay off Tesla security and focus on Signal texts and National Security

    - Shout out to Jeffrey Goldberg for reporting on this now instead of waiting two years to put it in a book.

That all said: it appears if anyone gets thrown under the bus, it will be Waltz. Dear Leader has already said Mike has “learned his lesson.” After all, we can’t fire the guy “who was on TV;” the most important qualification to be 47’s cabinet and orbit.

Carter did not have a recession, and inherited inflation from Ford and Nixon who brought it. Reagan blamed everything he could on Carter, much like tRump blames Biden today. But, as already mentioned by others, Carter appointment Volcker, who was retained by Reagan, was the one who brought us out of Reagan’s deep recession and got inflation controlled.

Sorry I haven’t been able to post as I’ve been quite ill. But now I’m back, soooo
.

Is gas under $2/gal yet like Trump promised he would do before the election? This question has nothing to do with Biden and only with the actual words that Trump said when Trump made the promise.

It’s a yes or no question. I have to explain the type of question it is because some people don’t understand the word YET. And the only answer that is required to a yes or no question is “Yes” or “No.” And if you say “Yes” then say the city and state in the U.S. where it’s under $2/gal or else your answer is a resounding “No.”

Let’s see who actually knows how to read.
