Good that he didn’t say that to his Mom. He would have been dumped in the deepest part of Pacific.

Guess the room isn’t going to get cleaned any time soon.

If Calvin put more energy into doing work instead of telling Hobbes what to do, the room would be clean already.

Nice animation of Calvin here, everybody!

Calvin, in order to supervisor you need four men leaning on shovels and a clipboard. A cop making double time drinking coffee doesn’t hurt. BREAK TIME!

Lewreader: Can you explain how a cop can make “double time drinking coffee”? Maybe it soemhow relates to the time he spends in court on his own time?

TN-REDD, Howard Cosell once scolded Muhammad Ali by saying, “You’re being extremely truculent”, to which Ali replied, “Whatever ‘truculent’ means, if that’s good, I’m that.”

TN-REDD, Are you saying that you think erudition accurately describes me? If you say the wrong answer, I might become truculent. BTW, how is it that iterate and reiterate mean the same thing? I was about to use iterate instead of say, but it means repeat as does reiterate???

There is something humbling about being thrown in the garbage by one’s own stuffed animal - rather than the usual (which is vice-versa). Probably a healthy development.

But that misses the whole point, which is to not clean the room, or at least take as long as possible.

DSOM A cop making double time drinking coffee might have something to do with the fact most cops doing construction work are working overtime, paid by the construction company. This pads their retirement so the end up making more retired than their salary. Of course this is paid by the poor city tax payer. Unions have municipalities by a strangle hold. Since they retire so young (20 years on the job) they collect for a long time.

Good one. I think iterate has a technical connotation to it also- to repeat. This makes me wonder. Why do fat chance and slim chance mean the same? Cleave has two meanings that are antonyms (separate or cut and come or be in close contact).

Too many people in management lilke this. Even when they loaf, they are resting after making such “tough” decisions.

More likely wondering if they will be found out that their so called talents are over rated and be laid off and the job be done just as well or better overseas at a fraction of the cost these overpaid pukes are paid.

“I’m the organizer” sounds like a jab at G.W. Bush’s “I’m the decider” statement, except that Calvin said it nearly 20 years before Bush.

This might be a commentary about how rich company owners do jacksh*t amounts of work compared to all their employees, yet gets paid more money then all his employees combined, while his employees are called lazy, while the owner is called hardworking. i,e,) Jeff Bezos.
