This is the second time they’ve done this. If they are trying to sucker people into reading prickly city I wish they’d find a way that doesn’t screw with the list I’m PAYING for.
Not sure it’s a screw up. Monday they publish the Sunday strip (go figure that one). You can’t enlarge it, and is hard to read even on a 24" monitor. My guess is this syndicate is making the substitution.
Okay, today the page heading says it’s the Preteena strip, but the strip presented is Prickly City. If I wanted to see Prickly City I would have subscribed to it. I did not. I subscribed to Preteena. Why has there been so much difficulty lately publishing Preteena? And why, when there is an issue with the comics, can’t you place a small informational message on the comic site instead of making your subscribers write and complain. A simple message “having technical difficulties” or some such would eliminate a lot of confusion and spare you, the publisher, from a lot of unnecessary email questions and gripes. Please be more proactive toward your subscribers.
Aha, didn’t know what you guys were talking about at first. I was lucky enough to come at a time when they’ve already fixed it back to Teena. Or maybe my computer’s being nice for once?
Yes! The Sunday-on-Monday strip is now being given at a higher resolution, and it’s magnifiable. Even in its normal state it is now much easier to read, and magnifying makes it better yet. Well done Gocomics!
Now that the Preteena strip is here (and not Prickly City), it’s nice to see the zoom actually giving us a nice readable image for a Sunday comic. The daily zoomed images don’t look particularly good but this zoomed Sunday comic is what we hoped it would look like.
I just noticed that this strip is out of sequence with the strips from this week. The strip shown on Jan 6, 2013, was for October 29, 2005. Today’s strip is dated October 28. October 28 was not a Sunday in 2005. I assume that we’re seeing a strip from 2007 for some reason (Sunday, October 28, 2001 has a different strip).
And once the problem with the wrong comic is fixed, all the comments complaining about the wrong one being displayed just sound ridiculous and petty. Y’all DO realize, don’t you, that the staff don’t pay any attention to these comments. The only way to get the staff’s attention is by using the “contact us” link.
Complaining in the comments is kind of like spitting into the wind… as soon as you get it out of your mouth, you end up with it all over your face.

Seriously – chill. It’s only a comic strip. Don’t hyperventilate over a discontinued comic.

Kill someone because the wrong comic showed up? Not very tolerant of other’s mistakes are you? Glad I don’t know you or you may have killed me by now!

They are all reruns anyway. If you are paying for it just go back and find find it!

Much as I like Preteena, the deranged comments are even funnier.

I’m seeing Pre-Teena. I actually saw somebody do this with a pumpkin this past Halloween — lol.
