Since when does Brewster wear glasses?

Brewster always wears glasses for reading. The glasses have text to speech capability, and he listens through the earpieces.

Brewster wears glasses about as often as Homer Simpson wears glasses, and for the same reason. It’s not fooling anyone.

“Ooooohh the BRAINY specs! They’re suppose to make people think you know what your talkin’ ‘bout- but you don’t really”…..

3rd panel reveals fustraite me. This would have worked just was well if the monster was shown in the 1st panel, and we were led to believe it was a crew member.

Maybe you can start drawing your own comic strip and show that amateur Rickard how it’s done.
