Panel 5 — B.D.: “Ray … would you mind letting my daughter out of that headlock?” Ray: “Uh, sorry. My bad.” Sam: “GLAKKKH!”

Think of the anxiety attacks Sam’s going to have every time she gets the giant munchies in the middle of the night, for now on.

Hopefully, Ray is not armed at the moment.

Evidently B.D. has invited his G.I. pal to stay at his house without introducing him to his family. B.D. has a good heart but lacks imagination.

Forget the Cocoa Puffs. I have a feeling someone is going to need some fresh underwear after this.

Question, how old is Sam supposed to be here?I hope the strip re-runs are over for a while. I’m glad to see new stuff.

So Ray’s wife kicked him out at 2am and he goes to his friend’s house to crash. What’s BD supposed to do? Wake Sam and tell her? I wouldn’t.

Years ago the American Institute of Electrical Engineers decided to merge with the Institute of Electronic Engineers. They were going to adopt the name American Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. The panicked comic strip characters’ cry is why now the official abbreviation is IEEE rather than AIEEE.

summerdog, I figure Sam’s in her early teens these days. Young enough not to have adandoned her dolls, but old enough to have been treated as a “young lady” at the Royal Wedding rather than as a child.

If in a bored moment you happen to google AIEEE, you’ll find its the acronym for the All India Engineering Entrance Examination. I bet someone with a sense of humour realised ;-)

Evidently the light is on a “Clapper” as it came on when they screamed.

@freshfish; when it signifies engineers, “IEEE” is pronounced “I triple E”.(My daddy was an engineer. That’s how I know.)
