I don’t think you’re impressing the lady, Doc.

Lila keep this up and you’ll be single forever. Some how I don’t see a second date.

I’m reminded again of the remarkable way this strip uses a shallow main character to explore deep issues (leukemia, father’s stroke, etc.). I’m not complaining, but if someone said Lila’s line to me on a date I’d be out the door before she could blink. Though the guy could probably take a breath between listing all his accomplishments.

He should stab her with his wine glass or run. I prefer a healthy mix of the two.

As for the Kadashians, who cares. This guy gets little time to watch TV. I don’t that he would choose that.

I am equally annoyed by both pompous snobbery and vapid pop-culture obsession.

I only found out what a Kardasnian is last December. And that was because of the rip-off credit card they put out. Why are they famous?

And I say that as someone who has a minor piece coming out in Rhetoric Society Quarterly. Okay, it’s not as prestigious, but it’s an academic journal. And I was in the April 2011 issue of Journal of Applied Communication Research! I need a Lila around to pierce my bubble sometimes.

I believe you all were speaking of the “Klingons” or am I wrong? Star Trek was my all time favorite show. The original cast was super, they could NEVER be replaced. My husband and I never missed one show.

Sassy, reference Deep Space Nine and some episodes of the Next Generation for Cardassians in the Trek realm. Kardashians are another alien life form known to leech onto fame and rich husbands to survive in a harsh well-lit Planet Realty TV.

And this last panel is why Lila is breaking her mother’s heart by not being able to marry a doctor.

You gotta be careful with those “different cultures and viewpoints” which on certain occasions happen to be, “Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated.”

Chikuku, the Cardassians lost the right to claim “cultural distinctiveness” instead of evil when, you know, they occupied Bejor and took the people as slaves. rrrrrrrrr.
