Mom: "Brad? What are you doing?"
Brad: "I spaced on Mother's day and Father's day so I'm makin' you breakfast. So go back to bed!"
Dad: "Mmm! Hope it's waffles!"
Mom: "Oooo! Waffles sound yummy!"
Brad: "TA-DA! Waffles!"
Now that’s exactly the kind of reset of the Brad character people like me, who don’t like either him or his sister, will love. Of course, I suppose neither Frank nor Nancy will wonder why he’s serving breakfast in his socks.
that is how nike shoes are made by child laborers in the third world who get paid a penny a day, so dumb americans can buy them for 250 dollars. that is one big profit margin.
It took me a little while to get what was supposed to be going on here. He used the sneakers to make the waffle shape… in what universe would someone think that was a good idea? It seems like something somebody would do to someone they wanted to get food poisoning from not their parents (well… unless you have awful parents).
I don’t know, there are a bunch of shows where I didn’t care for the lead character but stuck around for the supporting cast, so at least from that point I can understand where the guy’s coming from. And about the troll thing, I think I should point out that you’re the one making insults. You could use to calm down, you shouldn’t be taking things so seriously.
Rockabore posted much the same while I was writing this, but I’ll still say it:
Though I disagree with Bill the B’s assessment, all he said was that he liked this regressive version of Brad better than the new one or the new Luann.
You told him he wasn’t allowed here, called him inflammatory names, and used profanity.
Honestly, which is more offensive? Which more in line with the aims of a public forum?
Be careful when throwing around that “troll” label.
IF Brad was smart, he would have put a napkin between the waffle and the shoe sole………………….. but I blame his idea on working with an waffle……errr ………… I mean with Ann Eiffel
How far you fall when you are no longer a life saver. Brad, you’re as bad as the guy on “Caught on Camera”, who used his sneaker to scrape up the Chinese Food before setting the tray into the buffet table. Nasty!
Sorry if this is too realistic on my part – but since that wasn’t a stack of waffles to start with, they must have been pancakes, right?(nothing else comes to mind)Beyond the gross-out factor, in what universe can you ‘stamp’ waffles imprints onto a pancake and turn it into a waffle? The consistency of waffles and pancakes are not even close to similar. (If Brad’s lucky, maybe Toni will be on the fire truck that comes out on the call with the paramedics, once Mom and Dad try to eat… that.)
i couldn’t laugh at this because i just saw the movie “The Help” – those who saw it will know what i mean. it’s just a crazy joke and shouldn’t be taken literally, i still like Brad, and i’m not waffling on that, i think he’s an appealing character.
Doesn’t anyone get the reference? This is where the idea for Nike’s soles came from .. waffles! http://www.mcdonough.com/writings/inspiration_innovation.htm I thought it was pretty hysterical myself, as far as a comic goes. And, in reality, there’s nothing like trying to do something nice for someone, being almost completely ready to give it to them, and then having them say how they hope it is something else. So, it makes the humor of this sketch all the more classic.
I can picture the panel after the last one:Nancy: Oh, you made chocolate chip waffles? Brad: …At least some of us get Greg’s quirky sense of humor. :-)

@ SusanSunshine- dont know what was actually “trolled” but thank you and may your sanity and puns be neverending.
@imabaldeagle- nah, it was a left-handed compliment..I like that Brad tried to make up for missing stuff. Despite his methods.
