Roland: Look, I didn't steal your precious book - I bought it from my source. Editor: Oh, really. For how much? Roland: Uh... ten dollars. Editor: Excuse me? Someone passed you a copy of the hottest political title of the fall for all of ten dollars? Rick: Check! Jeff: I got it, Dad - I'm flush.

$10 for any Sarah Palin is really expensive. All of her books should go straight to the flea markets. $10! Maybe if it was a Michael Palin book.

Tsk Tsk be nice. She is a little bit of an air head but she IS American. She is trying to do something for our Country. What are YOU doing besides trying to stick pins in her?

“What are YOU doing besides trying to stick pins in her?”
That IS doing something for their country.

I’ve got better things to do with 10 bucks than to waste it on a book like that.
2 large lattes please!
puddleglum1066 about 13 years ago
If they really got ten bucks for the book, that’s ten bucks more than the Sarah Palin biography movie made…

I hope she runs as a third party candidate if Romney gets the nomination! Split the vote! I am looking for a good cat fight, however….
Alms4Thorby about 13 years ago
He he got the ten bucks more than a week ago and he’s still flush? I sense improvement.

Personally, I’m just enjoying the gamut of body language that GT is giving Ms. Bickle. Right from her first appearance, it’s been reflecting a physically expressive, flamboyant personality. (She’d be interesting to know, if a little tiring.) Kudos to highly accomplished art!

It’s worth a lot more than ten bucks.Listening to the hissy fits on the right is priceless.

Doonesbury is back in the Chicago Tribune today. Guess this strip meets the paper’s standards of fairness. Better in B&W, too.

I was so optimistic for Jeff. So much for supporting the underdog.

Best part? Becca’s probably already figured out what clueless idiot would sell that book to Roland for a measly $10. Not all redheads are clueless.
Kirk Sinclair about 13 years ago
So many are so fixated on the $10. It’s all over for Jeff’s dream, that’s the bigger loss, by far.
vwdualnomand about 13 years ago
10 dollars…wait until someone puts the whole book online for free…by then, we know that she snorted crack and an unfit mother. dcfs take her kids away.

OK, for all you redhead admirers out there, I give you the total redhead overload & freak-out: 500 Redheads in 5 Minutes. That video was made at the international redhead heaven: Redhead Day.
Comic artists, at least those who use color, seem to have a general penchant for redheads. Years ago I noticed that a remarkable number, a majority even, of the women drawn in the cartoons in Playboy magazine were redheads, especially if they were doing something dramatic or assertive. I suspect that’s due at least in part to the fact that redheads stand out on the page just like they often do in real life.
