Woo! We’re back to the “An Eyeful” storyline! It’s been a while. Let’s see… Brad is Acting Manager while Ann is out of the building. Brad’s scheming roommate TJ is still in the building. I have a feeling TJ will cook up a plan that will involve him getting free weenies. Lots and lots of free weenies. Because there’s no way we’re bringing TJ into an arc and having him do nothing. That would just be wasted awesomeness. It will, of course, backfire in a way that: 1.) leads all the other, more experienced employees to quit in disgust and frustration (whatever Ann says about loyalty/devotion, rats never stay on a sinking ship), 2.) creates one angry boss when she gets back from her meeting. TJ will then skedaddle off after a failed attempt to flirt with the far-from-interested Ann. (Ann’s not one to be pursued. She likes to do the chasing… stalking… molesting… whatever), 3.) and most importantly of all, causes some commentator to make an incredibly lame and totally inappropriate comment involving Ann’s real sexual preferences, Brad’s sphincter, and weenies. I got dibs. OK, now to sit back and watch as Evans does something completely different than what I just predicted!

YOWIE! Brad’s weak “thank you” says he is just now getting it. He’s trapped. GO SEE BERNICE to get the skinny on Ann! You will then know what you are getting yourself into! And then play the game against her.

Ann is all touchie-feelie on Brad, head up, shoulders back, chest out. Brad is being demolished before our very eyes. He needs a hero to save the day.Toni, where are you?!

Brad has a very unsure look on his face. His mind is still going a mile a minute from all of the double-meaning seduction she laid on him. And now she is giving him an assistant role -even temporarily. How long ago did he start as a clean-up boy? In Luann time it seems about a couple of weeks ago. It’s like watching a cat play with a mouse.

I keep thinking back to a line John Saxton said in “Enter the Dragon”. “A woman like that can teach a man a lot about himself – if he’s lucky.”

Brad is becoming more and more foolish as this storyline goes on, it’s like de-evolution. Maybe someone more qualified should take over before he starts acting like a monkey in every way.

It would be pretty funny if Ann was only being nice to Brad to see if he would get her Bernice’s (or Zane’s depending on which way she’s being portrayed as swinging toward these days) phone number.

Ann is certainly making her points……

In any case, these days, a supervisor’s open palm on an employee’s cheek, especially while cajoling him to thank her, is grounds for a lawsuit by the employee.

If seen by or reported to corporate, it would result in reprimand, investigation, and probable dismissal of the offender, in order to provide the company with a defense should the suit be filed.

Unless it happens in Pittsville, of course.

So Brad’s in charge. Theres a fire in the kitchen, staff starts to panic, Brad organizes staff into evacuating building. Meantime 9-1-1 called, but Brad has fire out while Tonis’ Engine is first-in.Brads’ Captain says a spot opened back up and Brad returns to the Station.

In spite of the fact that she is evil incarnate, I have to wonder what it is in her past that makes Ann this way. At any rate, I hope Brad wakes up in time before she ruins his whole life. I mean, nothing wrong with working for Weenieworld to make the ends meet, but if a chance to return to firefighting comes along, I hope he doesn’t chuck it (and Toni) in the name of “loyalty” to that snake-eyed hussy.

I foresee Brad and Toni having a little chat about Brad’s confusion over his future. He’s going to have to choose.

@ Kirk – True. Brad keeps telling Toni and others that this job is just till something better comes along. Somebody has to explain to him that something better doesn’t come along. You have to go out and get it. True, it may not have the benefits of being within walking distance from your home, and you may not get to wear a paper hat, but it will be a job that utilizes the skills you have developed and pay a hell of a lot more money than this weenie job of yours.

I don’t think Brad is dumb. He may be a little naive, but he is catching on. He just doesn’t know how to handle it because he’s basically a nice guy and comes from a good family. He would never choose Ann over Toni. The two women will have a confrontation at some point. I do wish Brad would have tried harder, and would keep trying, to get a better job.

Everybody probably realizes that we would be hoping Brad scores on Ann except for the fact that he has Toni. Remember what Brad was like before Toni? If Toni had never come into the picture, I doubt Brad would appeal all that much to Ann. Brad appeals to Ann because of what Toni has helped him become. I doubt that Brad appeals to Ann because Toni has him. She seemed interested in him from the start. Besides, Toni merely complicates matters.
