Hurrah for Quill – he’s got her number! He reminds me of Crystal confronting Tiffany. And Luann IS a little like Tiff, for she’s not really tuned in to what Quill is saying. Sort of hears what she wants to hear.

I am sure most female readers would love to find a guy like Quill

And oh, by the way… Quill’s got a great point. Walk on the wild side Luan. Trust him.

Pfft. Quill is way too mature for you, Luann. You are still such a kid, and he has reached out of your stage of immaturity. If you want to keep him, you better grow up fast. And Quill, if Luann doesn’t clean up her act, there is always Crystal. She’s got a good head. Downside would be that Tiffany is her BBF.

Quill has impressed me on this, he is not just your average empty headed pretty boy.

Ok, kinda tired of this one. It would be nice to see luann growing up and moving on into a real honest relationship. I know she has issues with Tiffany, but its time to grow up. He’s obviously not interested in Tiffany and is interested in Luann. So she needs to make a decision and go with it. Stop stalling. No more game playing!!!!!

Poor Luann. Here Quill was able to lay out her biggest problem in just one strips space, and her head is so crammed with insecurities that she only heard three words.

Luann is retreating within, allowing her mouth to speak along a crooked path. She has failed to hear (that is, to heed, to mull seriously) the lesson Quill has taught. She does not want to grow up: she has Peter Pan Syndrome.

What I think is almost as entertaining as the strip is some peoples’ obsession with BikeNBOatN usually being the first to post. I seriously doubt he tries very hard to be first. He probably works a late shift and just happens to be there at the right time.

I recently read “Life in Rewind”, about OD, and one thing that stuck was a comment about separating the disease from the person. This is also true with irksome personality traits: if it’s impossible to just consider them part of the whole person you love, you can realize that they’re not a part of that person, and are not a reason for animosity or irritation.

No, Quill doesn’t “Owe” Luann an explanation but he could at LEAST volunteer a little info on his “Exciting” two week L.A. trip.

Lu asked a couple of simple “how was your trip” questions Monday and Mr. Oz suddenly accuses her being Jealous of Tiffany?!? Phul-eaze!

This Guy is CLEARLY in Control here, and Luann is headed toward another heart-break of “Aaron Hill” Proportions, IMHO.

Quill is very perceptive, Luann is much more of a bimbo than she would ever admit.

Time to move on Quill, she’s way too much maintenance…

Trust me, Quill, she’s EXACTLY like Tiffany, you just need to dig deeper. Tiffany is blatantly stuck up, but Luann also considers herself God’s gift to men deep inside. Just ask her best friend.

I dunno. But it seems that no matter what classes are attended, a teen as bull-headed as Luann will think what she will.

Look at it this way. If everyone were perfectly well adjusted and made nothing but the right decision and saw every single situation through a crystal clear view, then this comic strip would be boring.

Sorry to hear that… this is my idling mode… so I’m thinkin’ you better check the octane of your coffee….!

Quill is about 15 years older than her, mentally.

I don’t know how a teen like Luann eventually finds the confidence and belief in herself to outgrow her insecurities – for some people this takes decades. It’s more like a great deal of life has to happen to her – in long novel form – than could possibly happen in a few panels of comic strip time.:The issue then is how both of these characters make the best of the brief time they have together, for maximum growth. Quill is obviously way too mature for her.

That’s ot good Luann….need to pay closer attention….

wtf luann, she’s making herself way too vulnerable there. You don’t tell a guy you like you’re afraid he likes some other girl or that it bothers you, not unless he’d been your boyfriend for a while.

Can’t take this any longer. I have to comment. Quill was so vague about the trip and of course it makes Luann wonder and ask. Now she’s considered whiney, needy, etc. Then he puts her down for being insecure, which doesn’t help.

Luann needs to take the bull by the horn, er, never mind.

I’m so tired of this story line. It is the same every time it reappears. Brad & his friends are more interesting!

With Luann, actions speak louder than words. Quill has to give her a big smacker that will buckle her knees…..like Toni did to Brad after he got rehired.

In his blog, Greg asserts that the Brad-Toni line is the one most favored by his readers. . In my opinion this has absolutely nothing to do with that couple per se, or with reader preferences. It has only to do with the fact that only they have been allowed to grow with their challenges..Whenever Luann seems to ready to shape-up or do anything new, Greg quickly cuts her back to her old wishy-washy, petty, whining, self. He did this after the New Years kiss a year ago, and is busy doing it again. . . . .Why then did he let Brad grow? It is my theory that 9/11 is the reason, and the SOLE reason for this! Brad decided in the wake of that tragedy to be a fire fighter, and once that resolve was a part of the storyline, Greg was simply unwilling to poke fun at him for failing and show him going back to his old purposeless self. .It would have been like all of us failing! ,So Brad was allowed the right to grow and Toni to appreciate this, and that is what makes their story so often more interesting.

Wow, the life of Luann has really touched a lot of nerves. Are some of the fans of of the Luann “comic” reliving their teenage angst. It sort of makes me happy that I was sort of a geeky nerd when I was that age.

If Luann thinks that coconut Tiffany is what guys want, she should notice that not once in this strip has she been depicted with a boyfriend. That one prom date with Aaron Hill doesn’t even count, since that was a sold vote. Tiffany is NOT what guys want.

I have to admit that I was over 40 before was secure in my own personal beauty and didn’t feel insecure around all the fake boobs, eyelashes, hair extensions (note username), etc. The media would have us think that all men find that attractive.
