@Dave53:1-The sandwich is sticking its tounge out at Anncause it knows what Ann is gonna get.2-As for Ann firing him I think he is going to trip her up as to make her do something or reveal something that when she threatens to fire him he will will have something on her that will backfire so bad she will be forced NOT to fire him and he will bring up the insubortinate that Mordock999 metioned.

His SCHEMES never work but this is who TJ is…he plays mind games and plays people. That is his nature, who he is, in his element…

I think his goal is to frustrate Ann to the point she explodes and says or does something that will get her fired. He is good at that – get people annoyed and frustrated. This is what he is doing in this panel…building Ann’s frustration with him.

It’s been commented somewhere else here that TJ seems to be independently wealthy. Wouldn’t it be funny if he OWNS WeenieWorld, and Ann Eiffel tries to fire him, only to wind up fired herself for some breach of corporate policy?Does anyone besides ME see that coming?Am I sufficiently EVIL?

TJ’s strength is that he not only doesn’t get intimidated by his “superiors”, he makes that very clear to them as well. G-d knows I can use some of TJ-ness right now…

Dave53: For some strange reason, delis are considered separately from fast food places, even though food is usually as fast or faster than chains, greasy spoons, and similar places. They have a wider choice and (usually) better quality too. I stand by my statement on that technicality.

As crazy as it sounds, I wouldn’t mind having Ann, on her knees…

Someone mentioned Ann manipulating Zane. She was not able to manipulate him. He was not intimiated by her. That is why Zane got fired and Bernice stayed. (Does Bernice still work at the bookstore?)

@baldeagle, my parents read that to me. I was the little girl etc and always had pretty little bows in my hair – celebrated until my brother was born (when I was 3.5) so I was the lesser child from that point on. after that, all my achievements did not matter and I even had to relinquish my beautiful slide rule to my brother when he went to college (and probably never used it). It was my most prized posession at the time – lovely machined aluminum with a beautiful leather case! I went on later in life to be an HVAC engineer and he only sold door to door and then got a law degree after he was married to a kindergarten teacher who let him loaf while she worked (and divorced her when he graduated ;-P) He spent the rest of his life with the VERY blond receptionist from dad’s realty office (who dumped him a year before he died of brain cancer KARMA). I think his exwife is doing fine with her new family (he tried to blame sterility on her too).

Ah, yes….Twinkies. Our newspaper says that Michael Moore is now on a suicide watch.
