The quality of your draftsmanship, the unique angles used, the always-spot-on composition, the innovations in color and use of the vertical Sunday strip, and the pure fact of great humor (among other things) make it 20 years of genius, not just an anniversary. Congratulations to you Wiley!
Congrats, Wiley. Your strip begins my day with a huge smile and often with a belly laugh. I can’t tell you the number of them that have been cut out from the newspaper and either sent to someone or stay on the refrigerator. Long may you comic!
The 20th anniversary was actually Feb. 16th, but that landed in the middle of a series with Danae. So for the next few Saturday’s I’ll repeating (some have to be re-drawn) the edition that appeared 20 years ago on that date, as this one did. This will be “new” material for many of you, and unavailable here on Gocomics, as the files only go back to 2000, when Non Sequitur came over to Universal.
I discovered the strip in the Sunday Pittsburgh (PA) paper and searched online and found gocomics and now follow many more comics online. Thanks Wiley for many years of enjoyment.
Unfortunately, our paper in Louisville doesn’t carry Non Sequitur. Lousiest comic selection of any city I know (not just because it doesn’t carry this strip). Of the ones I read online, I always save Non Sequitur for last, sort of like dessert. Congratulations on your anniversary, and best wishes for continuing decades of thoughtful entertainment.
Congratulations, Wiley, and thank you. I’ve been reading NonS since it first appeared in the Houston Chronicle.BTW, can I borrow that chair for my son-in-law?
got you beat. my local cut all but 5. it then replaced this thing right out of a high school paper called “orchids and onions” whare people p1$$ and moan at one another over some of the stupidest thing imaginable. onions to the people that walk their dogs in front of my house.and worse…
