As for those complaining about Pandolph’s cartooning, with such an ungrateful audience, why shouldn’t he quit?

I’ve been following Pandolph for a while now and IMO there is talent there, unfortunately hasn’t found a long term satisfying outlet for it. He also has the insane idea he should be receiving a living wage for the use of it.

Some of ya’ll are just mad that in your whole lives, you were never able to do anything well enough that someone begged you not to stop.

Maybe Corey could have sold “Elderberries” to someone else rather than end a good strip.

I also have noticed a deterioration in the quality of the drawing. It would be nice if someone else could pick up the strip & continue it. The storyline is unique and an enjoyable read.

When you go back and look at the artwork and story line of Frank and Phil, it’s a small wonder the strip has lasted as long as it has since the turnover. Was one of my favorites, but like others they end on whimper.

All you have to do is compare the current artwork with the logo strip at the top, to see the differences.

I’m just reporting history. But I do wonder if Cory feels he has the right to pass the torch that still belongs to the Frank family?

Because the cartoonist’s name in the header belongs to the whole archive, not just to that day’s strip. Change the header for the current artist and it changes for the entire history. Just look at, for ex., Dick Tracy.

Look at December 12, 2004 (the first Sunday strip) with the credit “By Phil Frank and Joe Troise” in the body of the strip.
