Corey, I have truly enjoyed all the Elderberry comic strips. But as I am a writer, I can SO understand the need to change direction when the money simply isn’t there.
Thank you for the fun Corey, but if anyone asks if its a viable strip, please tell them yes, and let them get the gang back together. I am really really gonna miss these folks.
Ah Shucks, I’m sure gonna miss all those folks,I first started reading them in the Press Telegram in Long Beach, Ca. then moved and been following them on GoComics. Goodbye, Aloha, Adieu, & Ciao, durn-it!!!!
For a couple of years now, reading this comic has been like visiting friends every morning. Mr. Pandolph: I will miss, if not grieve, losing these friends and your insight into communal retired life. It will be like a death in the family. If that sounds overdramatic, perhaps it’s just a reflection of the depth of my life (or lack thereof). I will truly miss all my friends at Elderpark. Thanks for everything.
Every character in Elderberries is and will remain REAL to me, including Esmerelda! Thank you Corey Pandolph for such delight and richness of story-telling.
When to StarTribune replaced Elderberries with a far less fetching strip, I went online and found you again. Every day a bit of marvelous alternate reality dropped into my inbox.
Thank you for your gift. Time for it to end.Oh what a loss to my day!
hawgowar just saw your comment from the 24th. Yeah, he owes me a squirrel militia book too and one other BL book, all paid for and everything, this was Dec. 2009. We should both consider it a lesson learned, huh? Trusted his promise that he would do the books but needed the “upfront” money.
Farewell to all the good Elders, and thank you to Corey Pandolph. I have known these characters only a short while, yet I’ll miss them. Brad Pitt ain’t got nothin’ on Dusty….
