Step 1 use your computer step 2 go to the E-bay cloud step 3 buy a rotary phone and have it shipped to you. step 4 hire someone to wack you with it.

Still need to be computer savvy Lila, sorry.

Starting to feel some empathy with Lila here.

You can at least buy a ring tone that sounds like an old rotary phone.

How to keep a kid from overusing the home phone? Buy a rotary. They are coming back as antique. And then watch as the kid tries to use it. Hilarious.

I never did figure out the outcome of last week’s strips. Is Lila engaged or not? Playing around while traveling is always more fun with a ring hidden in your purse. ;)

How about a good old pencil and paper for school supply lists?

I don’t think Lila is engaged. Don’t you think there would have been an announcement in the paper?

For the record, the term “virtual cloud” when used in computing terms, is redundant. All clouds are virtual computing platforms. It’s like saying “wooden tree” or “watery ocean”.

I still have 2 rotary phones, a black one that is in the hall’s telephone recess. (yes, they used to make an area in a central area – usually a hall -that would hold not only a phone and pad of paper and a couple of pens/pencils, but actually had a shelf underneath the phones table to put your phone book in) and a french provincial that I still use in my bedroom. But then I am an antique myself….lol

Why is Lila upset? The list is taken care of. Why the angst?

When I was a kid we had a crank handle phone in an oak box. When we wanted to make a call we cranked it once and an operator answered and asked us who we wanted, if it was a local call. It was a party line (who remembers them?) with 14 parties on it. Each one had a different ring, e.g. 3 long + 2 short. The phone rang a lot, especially since several of the parties ran boarding houses.
