Her and her rattlesnake meat. First it was chili, now it’s steaks. What next – sausages for pancakes?

ever watch people eat raw shellfish? i just can’t help the association with large slimy boogers. no wonder most people with any sense regard this as food for drunks…

When I was stationed in Arizona, we had chili cook offs all the time and every time somebody would bring rattlesnake chili.

Rattlesnake meat is like tough chicken (after all, what is a chicken but a reptile with feathers and wings). The meat is good, but watch out for the bite. chrman

It is appropriate for an atheist to lead a faith based group. Faith is the belief without evidence. After all, there is some evidence for the existence of a creator, but none at all for the non -existence.

I love crab meat. I love shrimp. I just require that somebody else dispose of the useless outer parts.

Not prefer mind you … require … or I won’t eat it.

I see no point in expending twice as many calories trying to extract the tasty parts as what I get from eating the tasty parts.

I read once where it’s "good as long as you get the first bite. But I still say “eeewww”!

Didn’t anyone tell you folks to “try something once time” in your lives? If ya ain’t tried rattlesnake, don’t knock it! I’m a Yankee raised, city boy who migrated to Texas (and then to Tennessee), and rattlesnake is not bad at all. Can’t be any worse than menudo or goat’s eyes (yes, they are eaten, I didn’t say edible!) I’ve also had rat, cat, dog, lizard, blutwurst (blood sausage) fresh, kangaroo, and monkey (naw, too danged greasy.) To top it all off, my wife treats me like a Roman god…she gives me burnt offerings (forgive me folks, I’ve wanted to do that one for years.)But, seriously, try every strange food that comes your way, you might be pleasantly surprised.
