Remember Mikes Friday the 13th comment “By the way, when you see Blackjack’s escape plan, it is something I have done personally so I know it works.”?OK Mike, now you got to tell them about it. (grin)Hint: "Look! Up in the Sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, It’s Mike Curtis.
Clever escape plan, Blackjack! And taking Tracy’s Wrist Wizard is icing on the cake.At this point the only good thing for Dick is that Blackjack has done nothing worse to him than tie him to those roof elements (whatever they are). The pursuit will be interesting!
I’ve noticed this week that Team Tracy is using more dialogue than the average comic strip. It doesn’t slow down the plot, in fact, it’s moved things along nicely, and given us more depth to Blackjack’s personality. For that matter, both the art and writing are more substantial than any daily strip within my memory. If anything, it’s like reading the classic Lee & Kirby Fantastic Four, Lee & Romita Spider-Man or Claremont & Byrne X-Men, only in daily installments.
I love this storyline. I mean, true, the Hotshot Charlie stuff kind of went over my head (I never read Terry and the Pirates), but not in a way that detracts from how awesome this story has been. The team’s best so far, easily.
didnt the penguin use this same escape tactic in the batman movie? i think it was when he kidnapped “Miss Kitka” i seem to remember them sliding down a wire in some sort of harness before jumping on those giant flying umbrellas
BlackJack made his mistake in taking Tracy’s Wizard. He apparently forgot the Wizard will have working GPS. I can see it now, Sam unties Tracy, they track BlackJack. Tracy punches out BlackJack’s lights and takes back his Wizard. Hooray!
Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads these comments this far down the line. I enjoy reading them all but sometimes can’t leave one until hours after they begin. There’s a four hour time difference between here in Alaska and EST. My question today would be if anyone even cared if Blackjack did escape. He’s one cool dude, and I hope he returns one day. Crazy, but cool.
The “men in coveralls” line reminds me of Willie “The Actor” Sutton. It would fall in place with Blackjack’s passion for the old-school style of bank robbery.
Here is my cosplay if anyone is interested.Extra credit if you can guess who (without reading the file name in the address bar), and from what anime series.

If Sam and Co. see them sliding down then maybe there’s still a chance…

Neat getaway, but won’t Tracy & Co. be able to use the Wrist Wizard to track Blackjack? Or is that what he wants…?

On the Crimestoppers: That’s assuming that the seniors have friends to accompany them, and that two seniors together are less vulnerable than one.

The Joker’s gang used a similar method to enter a bank in “The Dark Knight.”

RE:CrimestoppersHow inaccurate would it be to replace ‘seniors’ with ‘Dick Tracy Fans’?
