Well, she means “characteristics”, not “characters”…. but yeah….AFAIK Newton’s Laws are the same everywhere.Except maybe in the comics universe, where cartoonists aren’t expected to be physicists….it was just meant to show that Annie is obsessed with academics, rather than shopping, or Justin Bieber.

That’s another reason Annie’s violent streak didn’t make sense to me. She’s got geek brains, and I’ve known a lot of geeks. They can be verbally brutal but physically passive.

I can relate. It happens when you have a higher iq than your parents. Sorry mom. I still love you, though.

Annie’s comment makes no sense in terms of physics.

Newton’s laws are the special case for motion in an inertial frame. If they don’t hold (for the reasons specified by ghostkeeper, or whatever), you don’t recalibrate them (which doesn’t make any sense, as they aren’t equations with numbers in, they’re statements of what happens), you use relativity.

Well, nitpickers, now we know why she didn’t get into the Gaudi Institute. :D

Annie is spouting nonsense on a couple of levels, as has been noted in other comments. Is it possible that this, along with other recent developments such as the anger issue, being symptomatic of early dementia, could foreshadow new concerns in the storyline?

Maybe she is just bluffing Lila so she doesnt have to go shopping. Maybe she just wants to flake out after the week she has had. Could you blame her?

Newton’s laws can’t be ‘re-calibrated’…they just are.
