“God bless them for their spontaneity,” Pelosi told reporters. “It’s young, it’s spontaneous, it’s focused and it’s going to be effective.” – Nancy Pelosi
My B&W newspaper version of today’s strip left me with the belief that the baby’s head was attached to the Mother’s body and I interpreted the joke as being a man stuck under the oar and then hit with it. The Mother’s head was unrecognizable.
Yesterday, we celebrated Women’s Suffage. Today we celebrate Women’s Rights to Work (equal pay?). Even has child care (sorta). Notice the captain likes blondes. And no one has mentioned the oar house.
before the 1980’s, only the rich, business execs, or military (huge discounts if you were in uniform) could afford to fly. no squalling brats, no quarter-ton fat asses, and meals, booze, snacks, blankets/pillows, and halfway decent magazines. Now? Take a train if you can. Much more relaxing, and you can go walking, to the diner or observation car.
when i was stationed at great lakes, ill., a fellow sailor and i decided we wanted a denver omelet. in denver. 80 bucks and 16 hours later, we got back to the base. very cool.
Whoever coined the dictum that the only things we can count on are death and taxes wasn’t thinking straight. Corrected list;death, taxes, and the fact that things can ALWAYS get worse, and usually do, especially just when you think they can’tpossibly!
It’san FAA requirement. I was once on a flight from Chicago to Denver and they held the flight for 45 minutes until they could find a screaming baby to put on board.
Ok, for the umpteenth time, folks…please stop trying to drag your partisan politics in here. Nobody cares what you think and you’re not going to sway anyone to your point of view, so why do it? This is a cartoon forum, not a political chat room. If you really feel the need to express your political points of view, there’s no shortage of places on the internet to do so. Life is too short, so please get one.
This reminds me of a trip from downtown Atlanta to a shopping center in Midtown. It was located on Piedmont Rd. which, north of Piedmont Park, gets hilly. It was the afternoon of “SnowJam ’82”. We had a crying baby and a bus driver woefully unprepared for icy roads. So, mama was scared, baby was crying in full voice and bus driver was freaking. The rest of us passengers were jumping up and down over the drive wheels to get traction. We made it. Fortunately, there was a place with liquid refreshment available. After a few, I got in my car drove away to home.

NEVER EVER say that things can’t get any worse. The perverse nature of the universe will prove that assertion WRONG every time!!!!

Since they’re chained for life, things will get worse when the baby becomes an obnoxious brat, kicking him in the back.

As usual, the baby is not in shackles…it is free to run around the cabin, too!
