Whew! That’s a veritable Graf Zeppelin of word exposition in Panel Three. What happens when Lena finds out they’ve been ditching her?

So, uh, the bus drivers dawdle every day of the week except on Bowling Night? Or does it snow every weekday, and on Thursdays they speed recklessly through the snow?

It’s easy to understand why they’re running late. Dan “Don’t Care” Davis’ AI-scraped art has shown every exterior shot since Veterans Day with a blizzard of snowflakes the size of Eggo waffles. When starvation kicks in around St Patrick’s Day, will they resort to cannibalism, or actually eat Lena’s brownies? They ain’t eating Lena; no meat on that old bird.

I was going to tell yinz a great bowling pun, but I thought I’d spare you…

It’s almost like the ONLY reason that Crankshaft is a bus driver is that the drivers belong to a bowling league. With his attitude towards children and their mothers, he hates driving a school bus.

Considering how many USPS mailboxes Crankshaft has destroyed on purpose, he hates the Post Office, too.
