I insist on krinkle cut corn on the cob.

The krinkle cut exception is controversial, and for good reason. Obviously, the shape and texture are more complex and confusing than a perfectly disc-shaped pickle chip. However, by increasing the surface area, the pickling process is more efficient and thorough. Some say that this results in a more consistent composition to the chip, while others argue that the difference is moot and only significant to the production process.

“Krinkle cut pickle chip.” I can’t say it without smiling. It’s so musical. (I think I heard a robin say this.)

Now does this mean that the pickiness ratings are based on self-reporting? Or has the surveillance by the U.S. Pickiness Bureau already recorded what he ate, and he’s just checking the details?

Those Picky Eater rules bear an odd resemblance to the US Tax Code!

Why would a krinkle cut pickle not be considered a normal, non-point-losing-garnish? I smell a scandal!

This Picky Eater Rating system is evil!

I think Thompson was satirizing all eating disorders using Petey’s picky eating.

Its hard work to maintain a picky eating rating, not for the faint of heart

The Picky Eater Rules rival the IRS tax code in complexity.

Looks like my question posted in yesterday’s comments has been addressed. I’m not as familiar with all of the history behind these story arcs, and appreciate all of your wisdom in that regard. For me at least, it enhances the enjoyment of these strips.

Sorry, Alice. You are unqualified to become a ranked Picky Eater.

Avoid the dreaded krinkle cut, all you who are bona fide Picky Eaters! Carry on, Petey, My Hero!
