Yes, we expected it, but it was still very gratifying!

Oh like we DIDNT see franz getting shocked coming! lol! the only problems sam and tracy have now are 1) tracy is still strapped into a gurney and theyre rollign wildly.. judging by the next to last panel it seems like theyre nolling DOWNHILL too! 2) stiletta can still turn the ambulance around and chase after them, trying to run them down. i think it would be mildly ironic if the ambulance went out of control and it crashed into the same lake that both angeltop and flattop “supposedly drowned” in… of course the last we saw the santa maria replica (as far as i remember) wasnt it being burned down due to angeltop throwing a lantern at tracy? either way, great work today guys.. i wonder if or how sam is gonna control a runaway gurney!!!

I suspected that today would bring something dramatic and it did! Sam didn’t lose his hat, either!

I don’t think Stilleta will turn around. There are cars stopped, meaning too many witnesses. She’ll keep on going and try to escape. If she isn’t caught. She will be making a fresh plan to kill Tracy.

Can’t wait to see Sam and Tracy’s wild ride continues. I wonder how Stileta was draining Tracy’s blood. Did she disconnect it for the ambulance ride? It doesn’t seem like Tracy’s was tethered to anything inside the ambulance.

Just the scenario predicted by commenters here—fried Franz, and the old “jump the gurney out of the back of a moving ambulance” trick! But it’s great to see it actually happening in today’s strip. I have confidence in Sam’s ability to brake the runaway gurney before traffic bangs into it, but am less sure how Stiletta and Hugo will react. I hope the cops are on the scene PDQ!

Bonus points if Lois Chiles shows up. Meanwhile I’m hoping that the old “surgery to save your life so I can fiendishly kill you without letting you know I’m taking revenge” trick proves to be a clever way for Stiletta to hide a criminal plot that is actually fiendish.

YAWN. Crook-of-the-month flavor about to run out again boys and girls, just as yu thought it might be starting!

Comes complete with fall-out-of-the-sky clues, ZERO detection, but hey plenty of Bam! Powee! and now Zz-zap! for the short-attention span moron in all of us!

Stiletta had to see it, as there was no partition behind the driver. Sam still has his Wrist Geenie on, so where is the backup? We don’t see Tracy’s drain tube; maybe she was putting directly into the transmission case. Right color.

Didn’t the same thing happen to Bruce Wayne in the first King Tut episode of the Adam West Batman series?Not saying that that is a bad thing, mind you.

It also happened to Jon Pertwee and Colin Baker , though neither of them charged out the door like Sam and Tracy have ;)

the funny thing gweedo, is that when i posted my comments this morning (i was playing board games and was actually awake lol i posted before going to sleep) mine were the first THREE listed. but look at the order they showed up! lol! made SURE i was number one to! lol

I agree. I don’t think this story is over at all. As Gould did in many of his stories — Flattop included — I think this one will have a couple mini stories in it.

C’mon. They capture Sam and don’t do anything to restrain him. Then when Tracy has a “heart attack”, it’s not the doctor but Sam who uses the paddles?

This is following the exact scenario of one of the James Bond flics. Maybe the strip should be footnoted to acknowledge the source and avoid charges of plagiarism?

good action so far even though no real surprises. Now “the Chase” should start, so maybe it’s time to work in that other story to kinda do an end run on the “time issue”. Hope so, this current arc needs to run awhile.

(Got eaten by a fish.).Lieutenant Teevo got digested by a plant..Sammie got demoted from Detective to ‘Officer’.All the time, our hero …Dick has been in bed (sigh)..Oh yeah, Still-let-Ya caught Sammie sleeping in Dick’s bed..Meanwhile, Getcher Balloons has not sold a single balloon..And everybody’s’ smoking…The theme of this story seems to beSMOKE ‘EM IF YOU GOT ‘EM!.Oh well, after what seems like weeks of Dick in Bed….The End is Near!Ye Gods!!!!
