Gee, we’re almost at the halfway mark for the allowed storytime…..and for Walt Wallet/VitaminFlintheart/Sprang/Robinson/Kane/Broadway Bates/Black Pirahna/Cinnamon Knight to all come together in a storyline…..gotta admire the way Mike responds to a challenge – by raising the stakes instead of caving in to simpler story lines….thumbs up!
Tess’s “minds eye” hit this one right on the head. “Snicker” is right on! I also agree with Ajaxxphat. These family interludes make me continue to care for, and even relate a little to the Tracy clan.
Faster than a speeding villain! More powerful than a criminal conspiracy! Able to leap tall granaries in a single bound! Look! Up in the sky! It’s a air car! It’s a Space Coupe! It’s SOOOOOPERTRACY! ;D
Tracy seems to be talking as if the Pirhana and Knight were actually criminal-and-crimefighter, when a few strips back he seemed aware that they were just play-acting (safety on the speargun, sword rendered inoperable). Am I missing something here?
Wrap that rascal up in tights Turn a trench coat to a cape. It’s the man inside the clothes, not the outer drape. The thought of Tracy as costumed hero makes Tess suppress a snicker. To get her man out in such garb would take a glass or three of liquor. Go back to your comix, Joe. Let Dad enjoy his paper.Hat’s off to Team Tracy once again for weaving a smile into this caper.
I remember a PSA commercial from the early 70s that featured a Tracy like superhero. I can’t remember what the commercial was for, but if I find it (or if anyone knows about it) I’ll try to post it.
Howcum we’ve taken this timeout from bustin’ criminals? If they want to model some skin tights, then bring back Moonmaid. But aside from that, I’d really like to see some serious crimefightin’. I know that present “demographics” have morphed, but does Tracy have to also?
So brilliant this strip has become! I’m a big fan of Gould, and loved the early Collins/Fletcher days…but at the risk of speaking heresy, I am currently enjoying it more than I ever have.
SDM, since when did the mid-thirties in age suddenly become elderly? Don’t forget those free websites that supply age, amongst other things. Also, don’t forget some people have pics of themselves on their own websites!
One more thing, SDM. If you are indeed “elderly”, as you say, my wife wants to get some of that skin cream and moisturizer you use to get rid of those wrinkles. She says to tell you that if it works as well for her as it does you, she’s got something for you. Your guess is as good as mine!

Don’t know that I would have worded it quite the way that you did, but I agree. It’s about time that we leave Mr. Locher alone.
