Sometimes, seeing is believing just a little bit.-—————————-(Hate the colors – Homeymoon’s lips are purple again, and Mysta’s antenna — well, you know.

The heights are all wrong. Moon Maid should be average height. If Honey is a child then I think she’s too young to be involved in “field work”. If she is 14 for example then she is too short.

“I, I still don’t think you’re my real mother, you know!”I have to admit I’m scratching my head a little over that statement. Especially in light of what Honeymoon was thinking in the sad scene on December 28:I suppose it’s possible Honeymoon has had a change of mind since then. She’s a preteen after all. Still, the assumption ever since (in my mind anyway) has been that Honeymoon wanted to find Moon Maid because she is convinced she is her mother. In fact, this is one of the reasons I’ve leaned to the theory that Mysta is somehow the original, because of Honeymoon’s hunch. Now, I don’t know. Is this just a curveball from Mike Curtis to keep us guessing, or . . . what?

So Mysta finds Honeymoon instead of the other way around. Another surprise, and I like it!

….waaiit a minute- I get it. This is NOT Moon Maid. The reason her antenna are not flesh coloured…they’re not flesh! Honeymoon would at least know that characteristic of her mother- and now, touching them, she is beginning to have doubts. And, yes, Honeymoon is too short!

Honeymoon is a ‘tweener, so, yes, she does seem a little short today. But I don’t think she’s wrong to doubt that this Clone-Moon Maid is her real mother, despite the memories (which I deem to have been implanted)….

I’m a bit confused, why would Honeymoon refer to the woman she believes to be her mother as “Moon Maid” instead of Mom, Mysta or whatever name she had for her?

    Good morning everyone…

Very good story but a bit confusing. At least Mysta/Moon Maid didn’t “kidnap” Honeymoon.

Vistabill: “At least Mysta/Moon Maid didn’t ‘kidnap’ Honeymoon.”

Yet. There’s always the Sunday panels!

Willy007: Perhaps the problem is, we have had so many spoilers all along – especially the knowledge that Mysta is back for good!

Mysta the clone (Moon Maid Lite, as tsull2121 likes to call her) could be nothing but a villain if she stayed around. And Mysta’s action just prior to plopping herself down on Honey’s doorstep would seem consistent with that hypothesis, regardless of the compassion we “ought” to be showing her (due to her being an alien and the trauma she’s been through, including probable kidnap and imprisonment by our duckbilled pair of docs).

While we have absolutely no reason to believe that Honeymoon is even aware of what Mysta did to her adopted (or foster) mom, if she were, that would be even more reason for Honey to doubt the veracity of this stranger who, as it is now all too apparent, has been stalking them!

Really wild speculation for the moment: _Perhaps the real Mysta is still out there, unidentified, keeping an eye on all of these characters, and will appear at the last minute to rescue Honey, Sparkle, and Junior from this particular Mysta (if she proves to be an imposter)!

Morning VB and all. Nice to see the flashback Willy007. And while I also like the Cheapskate0 theory, I’d also agree that ANYTHING would be a “wild speculation” at this point. It’s the old, your guess is as good as mine. This is really good stuff.

Good Jesus, what a mess.I cannot begin to contemplate the maelstrom of emotions in the nind of poor Honeymoon and Junior. I think there’s one majOr vilain in this story…Dr Sail! Why would he want to " keep the Tracys out of it"?

It’s possible that, since the 12/28 strip, Junior has had a quiet talk with Honeymoon that included something like, “Honey, I was there, and there’s no way she could have survived. I wish there was, I really do, but there was just no way.”

I’m going a little daffy trying to put it all together. Honeymoon was sure her mother was alive in that panel Willy posted, but now? This is the fun of the story, it doesn’t make sense yet because pieces are still missing. That’s why I am loving it so much!

Had Chester Gould lived longer or worked longer I believed this would have been the story arc he would have chosen or something similar.
