I’m always happy to see Mumbles again. Just a point of interest: Whatever happened to the Nitrate’s hyena? (Probably not in the same Tracy zoo as Li’l Dropout, Matty Square’s cigar smoking cat, and the rest!)

It’s fun to see the gangsters acting so much like detectives. :) What happened? Where’s Jimmy? Will there be a race between the Blackhearts and Dick Tracy about who finds Jimmy first?

“This story is beginning to heat up” . . .-—————————————————-

That’s a tacit admission that it’s been COLD - as in ‘Dead Fish Dead’ ?

Some might debate the Advantages/Realities of (say) "Trickle down Economics ?But not many will disagree with the “realities” of only 11 or 12 posts at this time in the morning *- We’re in a state of Trickle Down Comments ! ?

All the possible forward ‘speculation’ is out the way . . .Until Tracy DOES something we remain in the Land of Nod !When there’s been a Crime, after 1 month

Morning VB Et All! Personally, I LIKE the pace—its a bit more realistic with the buildup—more procedural rather than quantum leaping to the action. There will be plenty (And I don mean Bob Oscar) of that coming I’m sure…

    Morning, Tracyville!

Okay, so we know who killed Cork. We know how he killed him and how he got away. But the question is Why. Why did Jimmy Choo Shooz kill Cork? Gotta be a reason.

What Cork knew could not be put back in the bottle. Hence, he was screwed.

I wonder if Mumbles is getting a little tired of playing second fiddle to B-B Eyes?

I am going to address two issues here: one is that it’s quiet, partially because one of our poets has possibly become a victim of Jimmy Choo. SDM knows about the gold. Secondly, and back to the story, Jimmy could be on a robbery binge, knocking off the Blackhearts’ retail outlets. Maybe he’s read the opening chapter of “The Sting”, where the Mob became the sucker.

BB Eyes is going to see Mr. Big, well we’d like to see him too. Still wonder where all that gold is? Poor old Cork I wonder why he was done in? The whole thing is pretty dog gone interesting I must say.

I’m really enjoying this story as much as the Nitrates’ story. We saw the build-up, as Jimmy planned the robbery. Then flashbacks gave us an explanation of how it was done. Now, by following Blaze and BB-Eyes, we see what Jimmy Choo Shooz has been doing since the heist. All of this has been moving the story forward, and building tension, as the Blackhearts start their search for Jimmy.

We were told that despite Lena being used to eat humans the local zoo in Tracytown has her. Thanks, I could not remember that either. But after i read your post, I found it – there was no dialog that I could find, but it was in a newspaper headline in the “extra” panel next to the nameplate in a Sunday strip, just after the shootout with the Nitrates.

I argree, B-B eyes looks sinister and up to no good when he’s talking on the phone. Oh and another thing. I hope Doubleup won’t be killed in the future, the future! I am not tired of him because he’s a new villian and I think he fits the mold in Dick Tracy’s “Rogues’ Gallery.”

To me, Double-up looks to me like a big, strong man that works for the mob (Something like the Russian Mob). He’s good at using a rope to strangling people like he’s a hangman (Just like what he to to Hy Pressure a few months back). Heck, B-B eyes has been around for the 1930’s and he’s still a pain for Dick Tracy after all these years.

One more thing. Doubleup has those eyebrows that looks like he’s up to no good and devilish. His bodily features show the reader “He’s a bad guy.” If Doubleup was a cowboy, he would wear a black hat, a black hat!

From BB-Eyes’ comments in panel 2, it seems that Jimmy does indeed ordinarily run some bookie joints for the Blackhearts, but has been skimming and/or betting his way into debt to BB-Eyes’ loan-sharking operation (footnote: I suppose it’s too much to hope that Axelrod’s first name is David). I am not sure why BB-Eyes needs to communicate with Mr. Bigg in person; maybe security concerns in what may well be an order to rub out Jimmy…. But I can understand why he doesn’t want Mumbles answering his phonecalls!

You see him there. You see him here today (mid panel), barking out ‘orders’, you’ve seen him near everywhere, acting like the NEW Sub-Commander of “everything” the Blackhearts run ! ?

B-B Eyes. The new right hand man of Mr, Bigg

B=B Eyes – the new Lord of the ‘little’ Flies ?

Guess from the start (of his come back) Mike “envisioned” him (B-B Eyes) as the ‘Management’ type and has continued to groom him. Not so Scardol who he saw as just a small time “car thief” (Don’t min B-B was just a “Tire thief” ;- *) Well, he did have a bigger gang and looked more important with the Bowler Hat.Why mention this ? Believe in selection of Mr. Bigg (the identity), it will *be some one that has a background of managing large gangs’

But I digress . . .Completely out of sight - and Conspicuous by their ‘Absence’ following Mr. Bigg’s meeting of Mar 28, 2015. Have been the "original"’ top *Eight . . .

That is . . .VenusApolloMéIésAnd the remaining 3 Munro Brothers (Sputnik, Rocket and Satellighte)[Dr. Tim Sail, Flash Munro (with Dr. Zy Ghote) are missing in Space] And gunman Bardol is dead

It may well be that they have ‘other’ duties (?) But their absence seems SO complete ! ?

    WHO’S ‘Missing’ Now ? ? Mar 28th 2015And the Munro Brothers Sept 7th 2013

On the other hand. They may be currently confined “Paying the Price” - as Mr.Bigg called it, for FAILURE on the Moon Maid/Space Coupe project ?Méliés and Venus had been directly in charge of that operation. And just like those once prominent Wall Cards (those Black Hearts, the 8’s and 6’s), they’re gone ! No longer exist? No ‘face time’ these days for the ‘disgraced’ !!

Venus might be doing “Time” - locked in isolation,, and with Méliés, you can ‘imagine’ him, doing 3 months ‘punishment’ as a Team ‘Mascot’, with the Santos Soccer Club in Brazil ?Nothing to nail “Henna Haired” Apollo ? Yet, you get the ‘sense’, that every time he opens his Mouth and you look beyond the dental work, the guy is “Hollow” a big Cavity there ! (?)

Maybe, arriving just in time - he’s the comic strip version of - Bruce Jenner ?And as you ponder further you wonder IF, that “explains” Venus’s remark to Méliés, that she and Apollo are “Different” ?

For really, new Dick Tracy hasn’t been one bit reluctant to STEP ‘deviant’ characters forward . . .The mind runs on . . .1) Sweatbox - Child predator and Killer,2) George and Brad - Male “partners”3) And if not Hot Rize, certainly Blaze Rize as a likely Lesbian

    Mar. 30, 2015Where are, Venus, Apollo & Melies the former in-betweens ? Apr. 14, 2015

@Sidney Phillips: I wouldn’t call husbands Brad and George “deviants”, nor Blaze, if not for her presumed SM leanings. I think offensive that you should group normal sexual variants with a serial killer like Sweatbox.

It won’t happen like this, because we know the strip well enough by now….but there’s no reason Slim couldn’t have done the hit himself, and framed Jimmy……you would think with only two possibilities they wouldn’t trust either guy til they knew for sure.

So since BB-Eyes trusts Slim, so should we? I still think that he looks enough like Tommy O’Connor from the 1924 job to be connected to Abe’s old gang. We only have Slim’s word that Jimmy was even in the building that morning.

Pequod77’s musings on the passage of days is more than a little intriguing.

I’d be interested in knowing how many days have passed in “Tracyville Time” since Mike and Joe arrived.

[If anyone want to total those up.]
