He’s partnered with a fool.

Still catching up on the summary of the previous story, here is my preliminary alpha version of what I call the “character cascade” for the Notta Fallar story just ended. (Right-click and open in a new tab to see it bigger. The final version will be easier to navigate.)

We had 47 characters in 81 days, more “breathing room” than the 82 characters in 101 days of the last story. Still, you will notice a relentless parade of new characters going diagonally down the graphic, leaving few days without a new character until it gets near the end. I believe that the days without a new character are the days when the story really gets to shine.

I almost forgot. The black blocks are where the character was referenced in some way. The grey blocks show the span of days between the first appearance of a character in this story and the last one.

It’s all a big Dream Sequence!

Still, Fearless Fosdick (L’il Abner’s Ideal) in any form is a great fun thing! Tracy and Fosdick together should be irrepressible and unstoppable. I look forward to seeing how Team Tracy handles filling Fosdick full of lead (and holes) while he survives as always.

Anyface, the memory of Airboy was powerful bait, but seeing The Heap mentioned on that cover is more than a bear of little brain can manage! I was possibly The Heap’s biggest fan ever!

A dream sequence, eh? I must say that that was a bit disappointing. On the other hand, since Fearless Fosdick is already a strip within a strip, I guess it fits, and it allows the writers to be as crazy as they like.

So, Tracy’s Daily Newspaper has not one, but two parody comic strips kidding Tracy about himself: “Fearless Fosdick” and “J. Straightedge Trustworthy”, which is also a parody of “Fearless” – the mind boggles!I anticipate someone saying “It’s only a dream”, but the first panel shows the real Tracy, asleep with his newspaper in his hand – so I’m taking it to mean the first panel is still the strip’s reality. It was reading the “Fearless” strip while tired that sent Tracy off into this dream.

I rarely make comments, but felt the need to post this message again regarding “Tracy’s Hall of Fame.”

I really like this strip but question the selection of individuals profiled in the first panel. This is the third time a person connected with the Pinkerton National Detective Agency has been spotlighted. Maybe the writer needs to do a little research into the history of this organization, which can be done by simply reading this Wikipedia article:

    Pinkerton Detective Agency

The Pinkertons were basically a bunch of thugs hired by 19th Century robber barons to bust unions and attack striking workers. They have no place in a “Hall of Fame.”

Once again, I ask that in the future please be a little more conscientious in the selection of your subject matter.

Will J. Straightedge Trustworthy save the day? Dream on. Classic crossover-parody. Sweet.

Thanks to Vista Bill, Gweedo, Willy007, Night-Gaunt49, Chris Sherlock and JPuzzleWhiz for the kind words. Much appreciated.

The Airtomb is the HQ of Misery who if the Public Domain Superhero wiki is correct is Pierre Duray who in 1738 was burned at the stake as his successful flight with artificial wings was seen as the work of the Devil. France’s last execution for witchcraft was in 1745 and he was burned alive so unlike so many references to witchcraft trials in fiction this is historical plausible.

.I can envision Abner’s airtomb now. A flying coffin propelled by eight vampire bats led by Count Dracula and his very shiny nose.
