Grim gamblers who have played all night. Most lose just as predicted.

Now and then without a grin an odd duck in a hat

Posies tucked into the band, he’s one unpleasant cat.

Dark glasses do disguise his eyes. Who knows just what he’s seen

His countenance is full of hate, so sullen, rude and mean.

Now just today for the first time it seems he’s made a friend

The strangest man. A lunar tan. Who knows how this will end.

She tops them off and lingers near enough to hear them say

Some words about their daughters and the purloined DNA.

Eggs and flapjacks. Bacon. Toast. Fresh hash browns singed just right

Slings the meals on her worn heels. This shift goes on all night.

Posie did not see that there’s something odd with the person in front of him? Sparking horns might be very common in Tracyville that you just ignore it. So aside from Mysta and Honeymoon, anyone else has a horn in Tracyville?

So…why is he looking for this Moon Maid knock-off (I mean, I love her, but she’s not really his daughter, so why the interest)? Is he actually looking for his granddaughter?

It does seem that the Governor knows more than what we might have suspected at first about Mysta, judging from his comments about the signals, way back when.

I’m sure he is well aware of where is granddaughter is, both physically and locationally.

I suppose that the capture of Honeymoon is a real possibility. If Mr. Bribery should develop such a plan, his niece might even come in handy, being about Honeymoon’s age. It’s always hard to know what Mr. Bribery is thinking.

Time must have fogged his memory. Mr. Bribery obviously forgot his attempt to kill Moon Maid via Matty Square in the 60’s. What happened? Square got paralyzed and the barrels of snub nose .38 caliber pistols on the belt he wore were shattered. Later Bribery and Ugly Christine got paralyzed in the snow and left on a park bench after another attempt to eliminate Moon Maid. Nah Tay, an Indian from Peru rescued them. However a regular medical doctor treated them.

I wonder if Sprocket Nitrate has ever read Ahmet Ümit’s Barefoot Night.

Darn, I was kinda hoping the Moon Governor would try to look for the “other Lunarite,” see Mysta Chimera, be shocked and think it’s his daughter come back to life, then find out the truth. I didn’t think he had already discovered what really happened.

Uh oh, looks like the Moon Governor found Ermine first. Wonder what this is gonna do to Bribery’s master plan???

The aggressive Lunarian DNA is changing Mysta from the inside out. So her brain too is changed enough to be now part of the Selenite network of wireless communication that all such beings have. Who needs the Internet when you have that?

I notice what looks like a wristwatch on the Moon Governor’s left wrist, but I’m sure it’s anything but that. A communications device, maybe?

Posie Ermine and Moon Governor make about as odd-looking a couple as you could expect to find at an all-night diner (and I’ve frequented one or two in my night owl days). They have mutual interests, but how much one or the other will choose to cooperate in a Search for Mysta Chimera, the Almost-Moon Maid Rediviva is yet to be shown. But I’ll bet it eventually entails Honeymoon, too, since she also has latent Moon Powers. And with Matty Squared on the case and Sawtooth stalking Tracy, this is shaping up to be one very bizarre and entertaining tale!

My gosh – I never would have guessed you were the Moon Governor… that hat hides your antennae so well…

Now T-Bolt needs to see them together and tell Dick Tracy who all is back in town!!
