Coney is stalling for time while he puts his underlings to work looking for the money.

Yup. Coney is buying time and will press on the boys to work furiously now that time is limited. No way does he plan to stay around to meet Tracy with papers he doesn’t have.

Who has been paying taxes on the place? City/county has records.

You don’t have to meet with him. You can see his deed at the County Office. In fact, it might be online. They’ll show it to me, and I’m not a cop.

Tracy is probably waiting to see what he is up to, in that building!!!

At first I thought I caught a mistake, that Coney should have said he wanted to ASSESS the repairs needed. Then I thought a bit and realized that no, ACCESS is what he really wants.

Tracy can simply check ownership with the City Clerk’s office. They have records of all property transactions.

I don’ have time this week? dressed like that he is not doing repairs himself.

Dethany needs to quit fooling around and get serious. She needs to lawyer up.

No experienced police officer would waste their time asking for a deed. They would go to the public record and examine what is recorded. Ownership of property is a civil matter. Unless the actual owner files trespassing charges or requests a property secured, or fraud can be proven, there is no police role.That said, the corpulent creep and his pathetic gang are interesting.

I think he means ‘assess’ not ‘access.’

“I won’t have time this week, Detective”…yep, stalling for time, but unless he has terminal brain freeze he’s gotta know that it won’t take long for Tracy to call City Hall to disprove his story. “My men and I will access the repairs needed here”…awkwardly phrased, a little nonsensical and utterly unrelated to the first sentence. Doesn’t anyone read the dialogue out loud before submitting it’?

Regarding ownership… My state, Maryland, has an on-line real estate database that lists all property ( buildings, houses, apartment buildings, and raw land parcels ) and the owners ( individuals, partnerships, property trusts, and state and local governments, colleges, etc. )…

Lawsuits. Injunctions. Cease and Desist orders. It’s all coming. Oh, yeah. This is Tracyville, so I guess it won’t.

I like how Howdy is hiding behind Coney, sneering. However, I find it hard to see Coney as a tough guy. A good punch from Tracy and I think he’d be crying in his ice cream.

It appears to me that Dethany is a bit disappointed in Tracy’s measured response to the arrogant little squirt with the ice cream fetish and his puppet. But in less than a week Tracy could bring the hammer down and have the place swarming with cops, If it seems the best course of action.. Dethany hopes for something quick, but Tracy is more relaxed, willing to give Coney and his gang enough rope to hang themselves….
