Please, please, please, let this be an Agatha Christie novel, and the killer is picking off victims one at a time. Tracy gets to be #2! And then, there was one. Sam…

Is that the bullet hole in the chair in panel 2? If so the killer made the shot to the heart, not to the head.

Sam, Anders “played” you and Tracy. However, someone else cashed in on the time he bought.

The shooter left something behind, hopefully not his brass. Whoever it was never learned to pick up after himself.

Wait a minute, Sam. he’s taking a leak in the corner.

The killer signed his job and left his name amd address.

He also sees something I didn’t , like coherence.

Why is Sam’s Wrist Device active? He’s just making an observation, not taking a statement, or, even reporting back to headquarters.

I like todays strip . The last panel is great .

In panel 2, that’s an interesting place to put a hidden camera :)

Did the killer leave a calling card? Or a threatening note? “Tracy, I have your social security number and credit card info. Back off or else!” LOL

A little bit of movement with some information we already kind of knew. I’ll give a few days to the new writer to see how they do.

1-SAM’S WRIST RADIO PLAYING THE WHO: THEY GO IN AND OUT AND IN AND OUT. MAMA’S GOT A SQUEEZEBOX AND DADDY NEVER SLEEPS AT NIGHT DT: TURN THAT OFF! WE’RE WORKING A MURDER HERE!

2-SAM: Why do they always clean up the crime scene before we get here? That Crime Scene Clean Crew is a little too efficient if you ask me…

3-…Tracy? DT: That little bald guy with the mustache you just talked to – he’s running down the street like his butt’s on fire. Suspicious – might be worth further investigation. Who is he?

SAM: Let’s see checks notes … Sam Tracy. WOW! WHAT A COIINCIDENCE! Wait – are you two related???

“Keep talking Sam, I’m just relieving myself in this waste paper basket.”

“Sorry Sam, Anders left this game of Free Cell open on the computer and I just thought I’d finish it off.”

I tell you what, whoever had Anders killed is one quick thinker. And efficient. Tracy and Sam hadn’t even gotten to the other place and before Anders was whacked.

If the address WAS phony, why was Anders killed for giving it out?

Panel 1 clinches that Anders is dead fish dead. -Almost a professional hit-one to the head at close range (though the grapevine alleges that more of a signature pro hit is two .22 behind the ear). Tracy is doing his his squinty-eyed Close Observation thing, and in panel 2 as Sam surveys the desk where Anders bought it (has the body been removed already, or is it still there on the floor, “looking up at Sam”?), Tracy sees something off to stage left. Sam’s reaction take in panel 3 is a nice study by Shelley….
