Well, at last report, it’s not “these bastards” that are separating Jim from Sarah—-it’s Sarah doing the separating.

Say, do you think the eggs could be poisoned? If Jim and Holly ate poisoned eggs, they would be leaving…

The note should have read: “Do not eat these eggs, there’s a friendly bug in them, please do not kill the bug, thank you.”Even without the note a bug should be enough to put anyone off their breakfast, forget the fact it is made from aborted mutant.“Soylent eggs are made from mutated people!”

Drugged eggs. I bet if they eat them, they would pass out and wind up dumped in the wastelands.

Here’s something to consider: There may have been no bird anthros in that colony, leaving all egg production to the lizards. If there were none or few milk producing anthros, that would leave all protein production to the reptillians. They would not only be in the henhouse but they would be the sole occupants. They would be producers and not getting anything back from the rest of the inhabitants that they couldn’t get themselves. They might have started out as the lower class citizenry and revolted. Their wrongdoing then was taking a revolution and turning it into a genocide.

I’m guessing the eggs have been tampered with, more than just putting a bug in them.

Reptiles are not just egg eaters, but flesh eaters. The eggs were drugged so the Jim and Holly would not know who would be eating them.

You have to get some outside protein from somewhere.

I love Holly in the second panel. Women going “eek!” over mice is an old Hollywood cliche. So the idea of our favorite mouse waitress going “eek!” over a bug is classic. Thanks Aaron!!!

SpeculationsI wonder if bug will lead Holly to an exit hole like he showed Wally. Mice can fit in very tinny holes too. After all the last we saw Wally he was watching bug go in a hidden trap door in the cell. I went back to it. Wally could fit.We don’t know the sender of the note….Wally’s was signed Chic.Jim will not leave even if he could fit.So Wally may not fight Phil if he is gone. Phil will need someone to fight. Enter Jim.To quote Princess Bride….“There will be blood tonight!!”

interesting idea to drug or poison Holly & Jim. But to what end?? Would they actually eat them or would it be just to get rid of them? Jim is going to get his heart broken and Sarah I hope gets some kind of comeuppance! Now we wait!

Just occurred to me:.By “Done and done,” does Holly mean that the eggs have already been eaten – by both of them?

I suppose, too, since Chic sent the note to Wally via the cockroach, he sent this note to Holly and / or Jim as well.

I think the note (and the bug) are Sarah’s work, due to where the eggs come from, and the fact that the eggs they eat were once going to hatch into a non-lizard.

I’m thinking that the lizards just want them unconscious so they wouldn’t put up a fight when they’re shipped off in those carrier cages.

Some thoughts before I go…..Yes Jenner they can check out anytime they like….they can never leave.Wally and Holly may be close to an escape.I still fall back to the balloon art our author did. That is the best way to go on the journey over this rough stuff they are in. Clive may be in the basket. The PT is down to junk probably stripped by the lizards so Clive has nothing…finding Clive may be the issue but Chic will probably know where to look.Jim will not take an escape even if it was offered him. He intends to stay. We know what happened to the last bunch that wanted to stay. The arrow in the back spoke volumes of what happens if you stay.A guess will be if bug knows how to get out of the room bug will show the way. Holly will follow because Holly would do that. Jim will not. When the lizard returns for them I think he will be surprised and very upset they are not both dead and now one is missing. Now if Wally is out the lizards will be very upset especially Phil about no cat butt to kick. A deal will have to be made. Sarah will be the broker and work out a wonderful deal to show what superior managerial skills she has. The leader will make her high ranking, Piotr will continue to get some as her concubine, Phil will kick someone’s butt and be satisfied.Holly, Wally, Chic, and bug will make their escape during the show in the arena. The lizards will try to stop them but Sarah will intervene as she has no ill will to them and would be more than happy to see them off. She owes her survival to Wally. Jim had the idea but Wally is who pulled it off.We will float and fly to another place in the Endtown universe for another adventure. Maybe to a place where a boy and his bug can find their place in the sun.Happy thoughts….Of course they could flying right into the path of one of those drones….then game over, man, game over.(chuckling all the way home, good night folks.)

There’s another possibility besides the eggs being either poisoned or drugged.

The alternative is that Chik believes that eating the eggs is the same as cannibalism, because they’ve come from mutant humans.

I can’t help but wonder if the dittos will be somehow making an appearance or something to help in their escape. I believe the peace Wally made with them may be a loyalty thing which is why they won’t bond with the colonies dittos. Just a thought!
