I see blue sky. But I also see another dusty plain, like the Wastelands around Endtown. So, this place also had a disaster? But…they are walking to something that isn’t white. Will it blend into green? Or blend into something darker? Was the pending dimension mashup averted? Heh,heh…interesting times.
It’s never too late to punch Marx in the face for being an insensitive jerk. It’s what Wally would have wanted. It’s not like Wally didn’t punch Marx in the face, especially since he deserved it.
I know that both of those beverages were available here a couple years ago. I know that the artist is a fan of both. However, a quick check shows that the Cel Ray is no longer on the menu in the one place I’d seen it served. Moxie still shows on the menu at another place, though.
I’m thinking the boys might need more than a couple of six-packs of hooch for the Marxian picnic; this calls for at least a short case for each of them. Once again, great art work….I loved that wall exploding into birds……..but now, some lawn is needed for a picnic
Don’t let Marx, the irreverent schmalzt inside the overcoat, distract you from some really outstanding artwork on this page. Shattering the blackness into shards of Raven is just the cherry on the top of a pile of excellence (for example how the eye is guided back and forth down the page by the placement of detail and blankness). Yowza!
First Marx cuts and burns the blackness like paper, then he shatters it like glass into Escheresque bird shards. Mr. Neathery, my mind is blown (again!).
Look carefully, and the region of the plain toward which they are now walking is taking on a greenish tint. So I expect Marx is going to make good on the picnic. Will they meet the other Marxes and the folks rescued from Eden?
And our favorite cartoon has turned into “Where’s Wally?”
Marx may have nihilism pawing at his brain and like hospital personnel they can’t emotionally handle so much all of the time, so Marx has to be distant and not caring just to have his sanity seeing so many alternate worlds with billions of analogs of people he has met. Otherwise, he falls into nihilism like Rick Sanchez has. Not a healthy place mentally.

hmm sounds like Duffy might be on to something. Marx did mention body snatching

Duffy’s right. Endtown is a place where seeing is definitely not believing.

A couple of astute remarks from Duffy. I think he speaks for many of us readers.

A lot of birds. Ahead of them or following them?

I still want to hear what Terrance has to say about all this. Let the bird talk!

Haven’t seen either soft drink ’round my way in years. Does DaVinci gum offer picnic supplies?

Duffy, just ask the right question. Body-snatching?

Marx looks like he’s doing godlike stuff, but we know he can control dittoes and their illusions.

Soooo….Wally was murdered….by crows. But like a song says……”It all turns around…in the end”. And we are near the end.

“What the hell does that count for in this place?”Exactly! Only a matter of time and space and Marx to reveal it.
