Whether Lawrence likes it or not, his parents were the one providing for him and putting food on the table all these years. If homosexuality is not welcome in their house, that is their right.

You would think that Lawrence would at least be surprised that Michael showed up at all in the middle of the night.

Wait, you mean Lawrence is not partaking in arugula salads and fashionable clothes? There are no other gays that are willing to help Lawrence in his time of need? This raises a couple of questions:

1.) Who has been providing for Lawrence all these years; the gay lobby or Lawrence’s parents?

2.) Is it possible the idea of the well-dressed, affluent gay is a stereotype? Could there be LGBT people in poverty?
