Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Did you hear that they changed the alphabet song? They changed when the breaks were, spaced out the LMNO more and changed the words at the end from âNow I know my ABCs; next time wonât you sing with meâ to âNow I never will forget, how to say the alphabet.â
April â âWell, I had the color blue finger paint and I was going to make the sky but the teacher said we had to share our colors so I made a mess.â
Over the years as a teacher, I watched the kitchen sets disappear, the blocks and easels be put away, and more and more worksheets come into classrooms for kids who need to move and create with others to build language and social skills. There needs to be a balance! No wonder we have so many kids misdiagnosed as ADHD when they are normal preschoolers!
Be careful with those paints, April. Your brother used some on his face for Halloween and couldnât get it off. That is why is he is called Avacadohead.
The second panel brought back a memory. It was a Little Golden Book about kindergarten. They played musical instruments and marched around and they fingerpainted. Now Iâm going to have to look for it.

April has to share her colours and apparently in Panel 2, she has to share her eyes too. This pre-K really is tough.

So how long was the bathroom break after the first panel? They may have been singing âELLEMENNO (I have to go)âŠ.â
