If you get sick, you can eat without gaining weight.

Well, there might be something left for the rest of the family.

There’s an old saying: Feed a cold, starve a fever. Fortunately for Peter, though, it’s a medical myth that should not be followed, at least in the case of a fever.

I used to wonder why I was always sick after Thanksgiving. Then found out that I’m allergic to oysters.

My normal body temperature is 97 degrees. 103 would be a six degree increase. It’s more likely that I am on fire than I am sick.

Looks like a trip to the ER for him. 103 is nothing to laugh at.

Taking more forkfuls, but smaller, will not reduce the total amount of food available,

How tragic. If Peter really wants to know what feeling bad feels like, he needs to get food poisoning. I’ve gotten it twice at Thanksgiving, and it was horrible. On top of that, I got the flu as well.

I recall this storyline both from its first run and from its rerun. If I recognize the next few arcs, I’m dropping FT from my lineup.

I heard and it might be “urban myth” but if you put carbon paper under the soles of your feet, you can raise your body temperature. Anybody care to chime in? There’ll probably be some that don’t know what carbon paper is and will remark that they didn’t live when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.

I got a super nasty flu Thanksgiving. Everyone decided it was my job to spend 4 hours constantly rescuing the cat who kept trying to jump onto the stove range where things were cooking, so she could hunt the turkey.

I didn’t have any strength to eat. I barely made it to bed.

I remember those days, my then Big K son, that was several decades ago, had to stay home from school he had chicken pox, whole class was chicken pox month, his sister got so excited told her grandma she had chicken pox she was in preschool, as both had to stay home, this was month of November, he was also as each kid did bring home a special doll, his turn came, he got back the week either before Thanksgiving or week of Thanksgiving, then he got sick again. My mom his grandma, insisted we bring him to sister/husband house for Thanksgiving, later I told her wished not done that as he was too sick. He stayed on aunt and uncle’s bed during the whole time, he been better off at home. Another time an aunt was to have family gathering on my dad’s side, we was at my mom’s when suddenly my son got sick, I told my parents they have to go, as we went back home.
