There are wheat and tomato seeds, but the yard is too small for cows which are needed for cheese.

So, wheat, tomatoes and peppers it is? (Don’t forget potatoes and acorns to feed your future bacon-sausage as a by-product)

When I first got married many years ago, I put some Cherrios into a small plastic bag and made a label that said they were Polish donut seeds ( my mother in law was Polish) I told her to plant them and in a few weeks a donut tree would grow. I got a phone call from her a couple of months later and she said that nothing was growing, so I told her that’s because she planted them upside down. She passed away a few years ago, but we always had a good laugh over the years remembering my ‘gift’

Wall-E came out 5 years after this strip was first published. Maybe the cartoonist can sue Pixar-Disney for some intellectual property theft?

Peter, be thankful they aren’t broccoli and kale seeds.

Makes me think of the cartoons I sometimes see about a kid planting cheerios thinking they are doughnut seeds.

Tomatoes are one of the easiest things to grow (though, not necessarily grow well.) Peppers—hot or not—are easy, too. And, who doesn’t love fresh basil on a pizza?

In Europe, I’ve seen pizzas where the main topping ingredients were potatoes or broccoli or other vegetables. In one New York City restaurant, I used to get bacon-and-eggplant pizza.

You can’t grow pizzas. You have to hunt them in the wild.
