Around where I live, $9 could get you a matinee ticket to a movie. Go on a Tuesday and you could pull that off for $7.

Parking meters? Where I live, these have been replaced by “pay your parking here slip dispensers”. Older people hate them…

He bought him a copy of “The Innocents Abroad, or The New Pilgrims’ Progress” by Mark Twain; a wonderful travelogue through Europe and the Mid-east.

For $9 I can buy a 12 pack of Old Style beer and sit in the back yard. Excellent vacation.
